In the matter of John James King of Christchurch in the said District publican a debtor.
NOTICE is hereby given that by an order of this Honourable Court made in this matter on the Twenty-fourth day of June last the hearing of the petition of the above-named debtor was adjourned to Wednesday the Twenty-fourth day of July instant at Eleven o’clock in the forenoon at the Court House Christchurch.

In the matter of the estate of William Thomas Newnham and William Dixon Buddle both of Kaiapoi in the province of Canterbury lately trading together in co-partnership there and at Rangiora in the said Province under the style of “Newnham and Buddle” storekeepers debtors; and
In the matter of the petition of the said debtors.
IN CHAMBERS:
Tuesday the 2nd day of July 1867.
UPON the application of Mr. Joshua Strange Williams of counsel for the said petitioners William Thomas Newnham and William Dixon Buddle after reading the said petition presented this day purporting to be signed by the said petitioners such debtors as aforesaid and to be concurred in by Robert Symington of Christchurch member of the firm of Robert Symington and Co. merchants creditors to the extent of not less than fifty pounds and also certain schedules and also an affidavit to the said petition annexed and therewith filed this day pursuant to the said Acts This Court being satisfied of the truth of the matters contained in the said petition doth hereby appoint Wednesday the Twenty-fourth day of July instant at eleven o’clock in the forenoon for the hearing of such petition and the proof of debts and claims of creditors at the Court House Christchurch aforesaid and doth hereby grant an ad interim order of sequestration of the joint and separate estates and effects of the said William Thomas Newnham and William Dixon Buddle and doth direct that the said estates and effects of the said William Thomas Newnham and William Dixon Buddle shall be taken and held by Frederic Henry Melville Walker of Christchurch accountant Receiver under the said Acts hereby appointed by the Court subject to such further order of the Court as may be made under or in pursuance of the provisions of the said Acts. And this Court doth further order and direct that the Receiver hereby appointed shall take and keep separate accounts of the joint and separate estates of the said debtors respectively. And this Order is hereby declared to be a vesting order pursuant to Section 8 of “The Debtors’ and Creditors’ Acts Amendment Act 1865.”
