SALE of TOWN and RURAL LANDS.
Provincial Secretary’s Office,
Christchurch, August 25, 1865.
HIS Honor the Superintendent directs
it to be notified that he has fixed
Thursday, the Fifth day of October, One
thousand eight hundred and sixty-five, at
the hour of noon, at a sitting of the Waste
Lands Board, in the Land Office, at Christchurch, as the time and place when a sale
by auction of Town and Rural Land shall
take place, in accordance with clause 24
and clause 35 of the Waste Lands Regulations, subject to the usual conditions of
sale, and in conformity with the regulations
for the disposal, sale, letting, and occupation
of the Waste Lands of the Crown, now in
force within the Province of Canterbury.
Applications will be received by the Waste
Lands Board, at Christchurch, on and up to
Thursday the Twenty-first day of September,
One thousand eight hundred and sixty-five.

HIS Honor the Superintendent, in pursuance of certain powers vested in him
by “The Empowering Ordinance, Sess. II,
No. 2,” directs it to be notified that the
footpaths hereinafter described, having been
well and sufficiently made and completed
for the use and accommodation of foot passengers, according to the provisions of “The
Footpaths Ordinance, Sess. VII, No. 12,”
are hereby declared to be public footpaths,
and from and after the date hereof shall be
deemed and taken accordingly to be public
footpaths within the meaning of the said
Ordinance.
The said footpaths are as follows:—
SOUTH KAIAPOI.
North road, from Ohoka road, to the
Swing Bridge, west side.
Rangiora street, from Peraki street, 16
chains west, north side.
Black street, from Fuller street to Raven
street, both sides.
Raven street, from Blind Creek, to the
Swing Bridge, south side.
Fuller street, from Peraki street, to Adam
street, south side.
Hilton street, from Black street, for six
chains, east.
NORTH KAIAPOI.
Sewell street, from Cookson street, to
Jollie street, north side.
Cookson street, both sides.
Jones street, both sides.
Beswick street, both sides.

In the matter of “The Debtors’ and Creditors’ Act, 1862.”
NOTICE is hereby given that in pursuance
of two several orders of this Honorable
Court, made respectively on the Fifteenth
day of August instant, the further hearing of
the undermentioned petition matters was
adjourned to Wednesday, the Twentieth day
of September next, at eleven o’clock in the
forenoon, at the Court House, Christchurch:—
Alexander Heran, of Lyttelton, in the
said district, storekeeper, a debtor.
Robert Ross, of Christchurch, in the said
district, lately stock buyer and salesman
to Messrs. Aikman and Wilson, of
Christchurch, Commission Agents, now
out of business.
Dated this 22nd day of August, 1865.

In the matter of “The Debtors’ and Creditors’ Act, 1862;” and
In the matter of the petition of Benjamin
Bond Leathwick of Christchurch in the
Province of Canterbury a clerk in the
employ of the Provincial Government a
debtor not in custody.
This 25th day of August 1865.
UPON the application of Mr. Moorhouse
of Counsel for the said petitioner Ben-
jamin Bond Leathwick after reading the
said petition purporting to be signed by the
said petitioner such debtor as aforesaid and
to be concurred in by George Ramscar
of Christchurch aforesaid shoemaker and
John Craib Angus of the same place saddler
creditors to the extent of not less
than fifty pounds sterling in the whole
and also certain schedules and also an affi-
davit of the said Benjamin Bond Leathwick
to the said petition annexed and therewith
filed the Twenty-fourth day of August instant
pursuant to the said Act this Court being
satisfied of the truth of the matter contained
in the said petition doth hereby grant an ad-
interim order of sequestration of the estate
and effects of the said Benjamin Bond Leath-
wick and doth direct that the estate and
effects of the said Benjamin Bond Leathwick
be taken and held by Henry Fowls
Seager of Christchurch aforesaid printer
as Receiver under the said Act hereby ap-
pointed by the Court subject to such
further order of the Court as may be made
under or in pursuance of the said Act: And
this Court doth hereby appoint Wednesday
the Twentieth day of September next at
eleven o’clock in the forenoon for the hear-
