HIS Honor the Superintendent directs it
to be notified that he has made the following Reserves, temporarily, under the 19th clause of the Waste Land Regulations;
viz.:

No. 429, in red.—Fifty acres, more or less, situate in the Upper Waimakariri District, having a frontage of twelve chains fifty links to the south bank of the Waimakariri, and extending back southerly forty-one chains, in a rectangular block, east of and adjoining reserve No. 394, in red, subject to the West Coast Road—for the use of the Constabulary of the Provincial Government.

No. 435, in red.—All that tract of land, three chains wide, situate in the Malvern District, the centre line of the same commencing at a point on the Coal Tramway Reserve, being about ninety-six chains south-east of the intersection of the said reserve by the Dalethorpe and Kowai Road; thence north-westerly, following a curve of forty chains radius a distance of about forty chains; thence north-easterly, following a straight line a distance of ninety chains; thence northerly, following a curve of eighty chains radius to the foot of the high bank or terrace forming the north-eastern boundary of section 5177, save and except the freehold land purchased to date—for railway purposes.
