day dissolved by mutual consent. All debts

PUBLIC NOTICE.

NOTICE is hereby given to the Holders
of Pasturage Licences under the Land
Regulations of 1st April, 1856, that they are
required forthwith to send in to the Waste
Lands Board a return of all Stock depastured
on their respective runs, in accordance with
Clause 55 of the said Regulations.

TO CONTRACTORS.

TWO LIGHTHOUSES ON THE COASTS OF NEW
ZEALAND.

TENDERS will be received at the Office
of the Marine Board, Port Chalmers,
until noon on Tuesday, 22nd March, 1864,
for Lighthouse Towers and Dwelling-houses
to be erected on "Dog Island," Foveaux
Strait and on Tairoa Head, Otago Harbour.
Plans and specifications to be seen at the
Marine Board Office, Port Chalmers, after
the 1st March.

The Board do not bind themselves to
accept the lowest or any offer.

Plans and specifications are in course of
preparation for a Lighthouse, &c., at Cape
Saunders, which will be shortly proceeded
with.

SHIP "MERMAID."

THE Immigration Commissioners visited
the Ship "Mermaid."

They found all departments well ordered
and cleanly, the immigrants cheerful and
contented.

They draw attention to the great ad-
vantage to the immigrants of the super-
intendence of a Surgeon who has previously
had the conduct of ships to this Port.

The arrangements for issue of Provisions,
&c., were very good, and the supply of
medical comforts liberal.

The Commissioners recommend that the
usual gratuities be paid.
