PROCLAMATION.
I SAMUEL BEALEY, Superintendent of
the Province of Canterbury, do hereby,
pursuant to the provisions of the "Waimakariri Bridge Ordinance, 1863," notify that
the Bridge lately erected by William White
on the said river Waimakariri, at a part
thereof on or about the line of the North
Road, is open for public traffic, and that the
said William White is entitled to levy the
undermentioned tolls from persons using the
said Bridge:—
For every Passenger ... Threepence.
For every Horse, Ass, or
Mule ... Threepence.
For every Horse, Ass, Mule,
or any other Beast with
Pack ... Threepence.
For all Horned Cattle driven
without packs, per head ... Threepence.
For every Wheeled Vehicle
drawn by one Horse or
other Beast ... One Shilling.
For every additional Horse
or other Beast drawing
such Vehicle ... Threepence.
For every Sheep, Lamb,
Goat, or Pig ... One Halfpenny.
Given under my hand at Christchurch, this Twenty-seventh day
of February, One thousand eight
hundred and sixty-four.

NOTICE
SUPREME COURT OF NEW ZEALAND,
CANTERBURY DISTRICT.
In the matter of the "Debtors’ and Creditors’ Act, 1862."
HIS Honor Henry Barnes Gresson, Esq.,
the Judge presiding in this Honorable
Court, has appointed that the Court shall
sit on Thursday, the 17th day of March next,
at 10 o’clock in the forenoon, at the Town
Hall, Christchurch, for the final hearing of
the petition of "Smith, Raikes & Co."

N.B.—A day will be hereafter appointed
for the final hearing of all other petitions.
