Land and Infrastructure Notices




Licensees of Runs in the Upper Ashley and Ashburton Districts, whose Runs were allotted by the Board in January and February last, will be required to pay towards the cost of the survey of their Runs at the rate of 20s. per thousand acres, on the 1st May next.

TENDERS are invited for a Reconnaissance Survey of a portion of country on the West Coast of this Province. A specification may be seen or copies obtained on application to the Chief Surveyor, Land Office, Christchurch.

Sealed Tenders, endorsed “Tender for West Coast Survey,” to be lodged with the Provincial Secretary, Christchurch, on or before Noon on Saturday, the 30th day of May, 1863.

The Provincial Government will not be bound to accept the lowest or any tender.

SALE OF TOWN & RURAL LANDS.

NOTICE is hereby given, that the Sections of Land specified below will be submitted to Public Auction at the sitting of the Waste Lands Board, to be held at the Land Office, Christchurch, on Thursday, May 14, 1863, at the hour of Noon, subject to the usual conditions of sale, and in conformity with the Regulations for the disposal, sale, letting and occupation of the waste lands of the Crown, now in force within the Province of Canterbury.


STEAM SERVICE.

PROVINCE OF CANTERBURY, NEW ZEALAND.

TENDERS are required by the Provincial Government of Canterbury for the performance of the undermentioned services:—

  1. A Steamer to ply between Melbourne and Lyttelton in Canterbury, arriving in Lyttelton from the 25th to 30th of every month. To remain in Lyttelton not less than 48 hours. To carry all mails free.

  2. A Steamer to ply between Lyttelton and Port Chalmers, calling at Akaroa and Timaru (weather permitting), making a trip every fortnight. To carry local and Australian mails free. The Steamers to be employed to be subject to the approval of the Provincial Government.

Tenders for the above services to state the sum at which the whole or any portion will be undertaken.
