A printed or fairly written copy of the conditions of this license to be kept posted up in some conspicuous place in the sitting room for the information of travellers.

A tariff of charges to be kept posted up in like manner.

To provide a Visitors’ Book, which shall be kept in a conspicuous part of the house, and to be open to visitors and lodgers to insert any remark on the accommodation or attendance; the book to be open at all times to inspection by Magistrates or the Police, and to be sent to the Clerk of the Bench at Timaru one week before the annual licensing day, for the purpose of being produced at that meeting.

To keep a copy of the Public House Ordinance in the house.

This license shall commence on the day of the date hereof, and continue in force until the first day of July, one thousand eight hundred and sixty-four.

NOTICE is hereby given, that in pursuance of Clause 5 of “The Cattle Driving Ordinance, 1862,” the following persons did, on or before the 1st day of March, 1863, serve a notice on the Provincial Secretary of the Province of Canterbury, intimating their desire that the Runs held by them, and specified in the Schedule hereunder written should be under the provisions of the said Ordinance, and that the said persons did, upon the serving of such notice, pay the fee required by the provisions of the said Ordinance.

HIS Honor the Superintendent directs it to be notified for public information that in pursuance of the powers vested in him by the Waste Lands Regulations now in force within the Province of Canterbury, he has made the following Reserves of Land for the uses of the Provincial Government, and for other public purposes, temporarily, until the next Session of the Provincial Council, viz.:
No. 269, in red.—Sections Nos. 437, 438, 439, 440, 441, and 442, formerly included in the township of Sefton,
No. 270, in red.—134 acres, more or less, situate in the Mandeville district, on the Sand-hills, between Kaiapoi and the sea, being bounded on the north by a road to the beach, a distance of 43 chains 10 links; on the east by a road along the edge of the Sand-hills separating this reserve from Sections 820, a distance of about 82 chains.
