it to be notified that William Sefton
Moorhouse, Esq., has resigned his seat in
the Provincial Council as member for
the Town of Kaiapoi District.

WARRANT APPOINTING PLACE FOR
PAYMENT OF INTEREST
Province of Canterbury. WHEREAS, by the 3rd
clause of the Loan
New Zealand, Ordinance, Session VII.,
to wit. No. 3, it is enacted that the
interest payable upon Debentures issued
under the authority of the said Ordinance,
shall be payable at the Provincial Treasury
of the said Province, or at such other place
or places as the Superintendent may direct,
on the thirtieth day of June and the thirty-
first day of December in each year;
Now therefore I, Samuel Bealey, Superin-
tendent of the said Province, do hereby
direct that the interest due on Debentures,
issued under the authority of the said
Ordinance, on the thirty-first day of Decem-
ber now next ensuing, shall be paid at the
office, in London, of the Bank of New Zealand.
Dated this fourteenth day of October,
one thousand eight hundred and sixty-three.

clause of the Canterbury
New Zealand, Loan Ordinance,
to wit. 1862, it is enacted that the
interest payable upon Debentures issued
under the authority of the said Ordinance
shall be payable at such place or places as
the Superintendent shall, by warrant under
his hand direct, on the thirtieth day of June
and the thirty-first day of December
in each year.
Now, therefore, I, Samuel Bealey, Superin-
tendent of the said Province, do hereby
direct that the interest due on Debentures,
issued under the authority of the said Ordi-
nance, on the thirty-first day of Decem-
ber now next ensuing, shall be paid at the
office, in London, of the Bank of New Zealand.

HIS Honor the Superintendent directs
it to be notified, that in accordance
with a Resolution of the Provincial Council,
the undernentioned piece of land has ceased
to be reserved, viz. :—
Sixty-two acres, more or less, being part
of reserve No. 236, situate at Duvau-
chelle’s Bay, Akaroa. Commencing
at a point on the road leading up the
valley, the same being the north-
most corner of Section No. 2815,
following along the north-eastern
boundary of that section a distance
of 46 chains, thence at a right angle
north-easterly a distance of four
chains eighty-eight links, thence again
at a right angle south-easterly a
distance of thirteen chains and five
links, thence at an angle of 106 deg.
30 min. north-easterly, a distance of
seven chains twenty links, and from
thence following a line to the road,
the same being parallel to the boundary first described.
