6th August, 1861—Rev. Henry Torlesse to be Postmaster at Okain’s Bay, Banks’ Peninsula.

7th September, 1861—James S. Ffizon to be Postmaster at Pareora.

*DECLARATION.—I, William Arthur Simpson, of Sydney, do hereby solemnly declare that the sheep, 8000 in number, marked M W on board the vessel White Star (Kerr, commander), now lying at Port Cooper, in the said Province, have not within three months last past been subject to any dressing for the cure of the scab, nor been mixed with any sheep infected with scab or catarrh; and I make this solemn declaration, conscientiously believing the same to be true.

CERTIFICATE OF INSPECTOR.—I, Philip Baker Boulton, Inspector of Sheep, hereby certify that I have carefully examined 8000 sheep, branded M W, the property of W. A. Simpson, on board the White Star, at Port Cooper, and that I find such sheep to be entirely free from scab or catarrh.

Given under my hand, at Port Cooper, this 17th day of January, 1862.

*DECLARATION.—I, Thomas Bygrave Trew, of Lyttelton, do hereby solemnly declare that the sheep, 14 in number, on board the Mary Merrill (Taylor, commander), now lying at Port Victoria, in the said Province, have not within three months last past been subject to any dressing for the cure of scab, nor been mixed with any sheep infected with scab or catarrh; and I make this solemn declaration, conscientiously believing the same to be true.
