PUBLIC NOTIFICATION.

Superintendent’s Office,
Auckland, 4th September, 1875.

IT is hereby notified that the Karangahape District Board has, with the approval of His Honour the Superintendent, appointed

Mr. Thomas Barnes

to be Keeper of the Public Pound at Newton, within the said District.

And it is hereby further notified that His Honour the Superintendent has authorised the Fees and Prices set forth in the following Schedule to be taken and charged by the said Keeper.

SCHEDULE.

FEES AND PRICES TO BE TAKEN AND CHARGED BY POUND KEEPER.

I.—Poundage Fees.

s. d.
For every horse, mare, gelding, colt, filly, foal, mule, or ass 2 6
For every bull, cow, ox, steer, heifer, or calf 2 6
For every ram, ewe, wether, or lamb—
For the first twenty, per head 0 2
For the next thirty 0
For the next fifty 0 1
For all others above one hundred 0 ½
For every boar, sow, or other pig 1 0
For every goat or kid 1 0

The above Fees to be paid for each day, or part of a day, during which the animal is kept in Pound.

II.—Charges for Food.

s. d.
For every horse, mare, gelding, colt, filly, foal, mule, or ass 1 0
For every bull, cow, ox, steer, or heifer 0 6
For every calf under six months 0 2
For every sheep or lamb 0 1
For every goat or kid 0 2
For every boar, sow, or other pig 0 6

The above charges to be paid for each day, or part of a day, during which the animal is supplied with food and water by the Pound Keeper; but the owner may supply food and water, in which cases these charges are not to be made.

III.—Charges for giving Notice of Impounding.

The charge for giving notice to the owner thereof, or his agent, shall be computed at the rate of one shilling for every mile or part of a mile of the distance between the Public Pound and the usual place of residence of such owner or agent, as the case may be.

IV.—Charges for giving Public Notice under the 20th Section of the said Act.

For posting Notice of Impounding on Pound 0 6
For posting Notice of Impounding on the nearest Post Office or Police Station 2 6
For inserting Notice of Impounding in the Provincial Gazette, or any other local paper—the usual charges for such advertisements.

IT is hereby notified that the Hamilton West Township District Board has, with the approval of His Honour the Superintendent, appointed

Richard Land

to be Keeper of the Public Pound of Hamilton West in the place of William Andrews resigned.

And it is hereby further notified that His Honour the Superintendent has authorised the fees and prices set forth in the Schedule annexed to the Provincial Government Gazette, No. 20, dated June 29, 1871, pages 157 and 158, to be taken and charged by the said Keeper.

PUBLIC NOTIFICATION.

IT is hereby notified that the Paparata District Board has, with the approval of His Honour the Superintendent, appointed

Charles Flay

to be Keeper of the Public Pound at Bombay Settlement, in the room of William Mott, resigned.

And it is hereby further notified, that His Honour the Superintendent has authorised the Fees and Prices set forth in the Schedule annexed to the notification published in the Provincial Government Gazette, No. 43, dated 13th August, 1875, page 427 to be taken and charged by the said Keeper.

IT is hereby notified that the Mount Albert District Board has, with the approval of His Honour the Superintendent, appointed

to be Keeper of the Public Pound at Morningside, within the said District, in the place of William Anderson, resigned.

And it is hereby further notified that the Fees and Charges set forth in the Schedule annexed to the notification published in the Provincial Government Gazette, No. 49, dated 31st October, 1870, page 419, have been authorised by His Honour the Superintendent to be taken and charged by the said Keeper.
