PUBLIC NOTIFICATION.

do hereby constitute the Coromandel Highway District as deemed in the Schedule hereto to be and be called the Coromandel Slaughter-house District under the said Act.

Given under my hand and the Public Seal of the said Province, at Wellington, in the Province of Wellington, this twenty-fourth day of August, 1875.

SCHEDULE.

All that block of land lying on both sides of the main road Coromandel from its junction with the wharf at Keven’s point to its terminus at Ring’s bridge Upper Township: Bounded by lines running parallel with aforementioned main road and distant on either side seven chains therefrom and by a line fifteen chains long at right angles to the main road at its junction with the wharf and by a line fifteen chains long at right angles to the main road at its terminus at Ring’s bridge Upper Township.


PUBLIC NOTIFICATION.

By His Honour Sir George Grey, Knight Commander of the Most Honourable Order of the Bath, Superintendent of the Province of Auckland.

WHEREAS by an Act made and passed by the Superintendent of the Province of Auckland, with the advice and consent of the Provincial Council thereof, intituled “The Auckland Municipal Police Act, 1866,” it is amongst other things enacted that the Superintendent may from time to time, by Public Notification in the Provincial Government Gazette, appoint and define the limits of cities, towns, and other places, within the Province of Auckland, for the purposes of this Act:

Now therefore I, the Superintendent of the Province of Auckland, pursuant to the authority vested in me in that behalf, do hereby proclaim and declare that for the purposes of the said “Auckland Municipal Police Act, 1866,” the limits of the Town of Coromandel, within which the said Act shall from the date hereof come into force, shall comprise all that block of land lying on both sides of the main road, Coromandel, from its junction with the wharf at Keven’s point to its terminus at Ring’s bridge, Upper Township: Bounded by lines running parallel with aforementioned main road and distant on either side seven chains therefrom, and by a line fifteen chains long at right angles to the main road at its junction with the wharf and by a line fifteen chains long at right angles to the main road at its terminus at Ring’s bridge Upper Township.

PUBLIC NOTIFICATION.

By His Honour Sir George Grey, Knight Commander of the Most Honourable Order of the Bath, Superintendent of the Province of Auckland.

UNDER and in pursuance of the powers vested in me by the Fourth clause of “The Auckland Municipal Police Act, 1866,” I do hereby appoint the Coromandel District Board, and their successors in office, to be the “Local Authority” referred to in the said Act, for the Town of Coromandel.

Given under my hand at Wellington, in the Province of Wellington, this twenty-fourth day of August, 1875.

PUBLIC NOTIFICATION.

By His Honour Sir George Grey, Knight Commander of the Most Honourable Order of the Bath, Superintendent of the Province of Auckland.

UNDER and in pursuance of the powers in me vested by the seventh section of “The Highways Act, 1874,” I do hereby notify that, from and after the date hereof, all that portion of the Province of Auckland hereunder described, shall be a district under the said Act, and that such District shall be known by the name of

The Tiki Highway District.

Commencing at a point at high water mark on the sea coast at a distance of three chains to the northward of the road leading from Coromandel to Whangapoua: Bounded towards the north by a line from the point above described running parallel to and at a distance of three chains from the road leading from Coromandel to Whangapoua to the summit of the main range, towards the east by the centre of the main range, from the place last described to the Matawai Stream; towards the south by the Matawai Stream to its confluence with the Waiau River, and by that river to the sea; and towards the west by high-water mark of the sea from the mouth of the Waiau River aforesaid to the point first mentioned, the place of commencement.
