Superintendent’s Office,
Auckland, 18th November, 1872.
IT is hereby notified that Tenders in writing will be received at this Office until twelve o’clock, noon, on Monday, the 9th day of December proximo, for the Lease of the Education Reserves, specified in the Schedule hereunder. Tenders to be made separately for the Lease of each Lot for the several terms of Seven, Fourteen, or Twenty-one Years, commencing from 1st January, 1873.

UNDER and in pursuance of the powers vested in me by the fourth section of “The Highways Act, 1871,” I do hereby alter and amend the several boundaries of the TARARU and WAIOTAHl Highway Districts, as hereunder set forth.
Given under my hand, at Auckland, this eighth day of November, One thousand eight hundred and seventy two.

THE TARARU HIGHWAY DISTRICT.
Amended Boundaries.
Commencing on the eastern coast of the Frith of the Thames at a point fifty chains or thereabout, north of the mouth of the Tararu Creek; thence by a line bearing 90° or east to a point on the Tararu Creek, five chains or thereabout north of the mouth of Fiery Creek; thence by the northern watershed of Fiery Creek and Tinker’s Gully to the Look-out rock; thence by the dividing range between Karaka block and Tararu block to the Opitomoko Creek; thence by the Opitomoko Creek to the Frith of the Thames aforesaid, and by high-water mark of the sea; thence to the point of commencement.
THE WAIOTAHl HIGHWAY DISTRICT.
Amended Boundaries.
Bounded towards the north-west from the Tararu Beach Road by the south-eastern boundary of the Tararu Highway District to the Look-out Rock, and thence by the watershed between the Tararu and Karaka Streams to the source of the Karaka Stream; towards the south-east by the present course of the Karaka Stream to high-water mark; and towards the south-west by high-water mark to the commencement of the beach road aforesaid; and thence by the beach road aforesaid to the point of commencement, at the Opitomoko Stream.

NOTICE is hereby given, in accordance with the provisions of “The Highways Act, 1871,” that certified copies of the Assessment Lists for the HOWICK TOWNSHIP, MAKETU, WAIKIEKIE, and TURANGA Highway Districts respectively, have been forwarded to this Office.

I HEREBY notify that the several Chairmen of the afternamed District Boards, under “The Highways Act, 1871,” have reported in writing to the Superintendent the names of the undermentioned persons appointed Officers and Members of those Boards respectively, to supply vacancies :—
KAUAERANGA.—Thomas Robert Jones, to be Chairman, vice John Burgess, resigned; Alexander Mill, to be Member, vice John Burgess, resigned.
WAIKOMITI.—George Cantwell, to be Member, vice Andrew Kelly, resigned.
WAIPU.—Roderick McLean, to be Member, vice Alexander McKay, R.S., resigned.
