HAURAKI GOLD MINING DISTRICT.

PUBLIC NOTIFICATION.

Superintendent's Office,
Auckland, 18th November, 1872.

IT is hereby notified that re-entry has been made by the Lessor upon the ground demised by the Leases hereunder named, and the Lessees' estate therein respectively determined, and that the land therein mentioned will be open for occupation under sections 53, 54, and 55 of "The Gold Mining Districts Act, 1871."

Oliver Sorenson, of Tararu (assigned to "The Scandinavian Gold Mining Company, Registered"); 15 years' lease of 15 acres and 2 perches, 44 men's ground, situated at Upper Tararu, adjoining the "Nightingale" claim.

Lease dated 29th April, 1871.

William Moore and Alfred Frank Watkins, of the Thames (assigned to "The Nightingale Gold Mining Company, Registered"); 15 years' lease of 8 acres 1 rood and 5 perches, 24 men's ground, situated at Upper Tararu, adjoining the "Scandinavian" claim.

Lease dated 29th April, 1871.

Coromandel.

The Venus Gold Mining Company, Registered; 15 years' lease of 1 acre 3 roods and 7 perches, 6 men's ground, bounded by high-water mark, and by the "Green Harp" and "Golden Pah" claims, Coromandel.

Lease dated 15th January, 1872.

PUBLIC NOTIFICATION.

Auckland, 19th November, 1872.

IT is hereby notified that a Writ, issued on the 24th ultimo, for the election of a Member of the Provincial Council for the Electoral District of The Northern Division, has been returned to this Office, with a certificate endorsed thereon by the Returning Officer to the effect that

of Orewa, Householder, has been duly elected.

THE under-mentioned allotment will, on Monday, the 23rd day of December next, at 12 o'clock noon, at Messrs. Samuel Cochrane and Son's Auction Mart, Fort-street, Auckland, be offered for Lease for a period of one year.
