283 AUCKLAND PROVINCIAL GOVERNMENT GAZETTE.
PUBLIC NOTIFICATION.
By Joseph May, Esquire, Deputy-Superintendent of the Province of Auckland.
UNDER and in pursuance of the powers vested in the Superintendent by the fourth section of "The Highways Act, 1871," I do hereby alter and amend the several boundaries of the Omaha, Cambridge, and Mongonui Highway Districts, as hereunder set forth.
Given under my hand, at Auckland, this nineteenth day of September, One thousand eight hundred and seventy-two.

THE OMAHA HIGHWAY DISTRICT.
Amended Boundaries.
Bounded on the north by the sea, from the south-head of the Pakiri River to Point Rodney; on the east by the sea and the harbour of Little Omaha to the North Head of the harbour of Wangateau; on the south by the harbour of Wangateau aforesaid, the southern boundary of Dacreβs claim, and the southern boundaries of allotments Nos. 68, 67, 104, 110, and 111, of the Parish of Omaha; and on the west by the western boundaries of allotments Nos. 111, 112, 113, a government reserve, and allotments Nos. 115 and 116 of the parish aforesaid, and by allotments Nos. 46 and 41, and the eastern boundaries of lots Nos. 35 and 36, all of the Parish of Pakiri, and by the Pakiri river to the point of commencement.
THE CAMBRIDGE HIGHWAY DISTRICT.
Amended Boundaries.
Bounded towards the north by the centre of the Tamahere river from its confluence with the Waikato River to its confluence with the Mangaone Stream, thence by the centre of the Mangaone Stream aforesaid to the centre of the road which forms the western boundary of allotment No. 181 of the parish of Hautapu, thence northerly by the centre of said road to the northern boundary of the parish of Hautapu, thence by the northern boundary of the parish aforesaid to the south-western angle of allotment No. 172 of said parish, thence by the western boundary of allotment No. 172 and the western and northern boundaries of allotment No. 173, and by said northern boundary produced in an easterly direction to the confiscation boundary line; towards the north-east by the confiscation boundary line to Tuna Kawai; towards the south-east by the said confiscation boundary line from Tuna Kawai aforesaid to the Waikato River; and towards the south and south-west by the Waikato River aforesaid to its confluence with the Tamahere River ... the place of commencement. Exclusive of the lands, roads, or streets comprised within the Cambridge North Township Highway District.
THE MONGONUI HIGHWAY DISTRICT.
Amended Boundaries.
Bounded towards the north by the sea from the eastern head of Rangaunu Harbour to Cape Kara Kara; towards the north-east by the sea aforesaid and Doubtless Bay from Cape Kara Kara before-named to Mongonui Harbour; towards the east by Mongonui Harbour aforesaid and Mongonui River to the north-western boundary of the Kohumaru Block, thence by the north-western and western boundaries of Kohumaru Block aforesaid to the north-eastern boundary of Maungataniwha Block number 3 and by the said north-eastern boundary to the southernmost limit of the Block last-named; towards the south-east and south by the southern boundaries of Maungataniwha Blocks numbers 1, 2 and 3; towards the south-west and west by the western boundary of Maungataniwha Block number 1, and by a right line thence to the easternmost angle of the Mangatete Block; thence by the eastern boundary of said Block to the Tukai River; and by said Tukai and Mangatete Rivers to the Rangaunu Harbour and by said Harbour to the eastern head thereof, the place of commencement. Exclusive of all lands and roads or streets comprised within the Township of Mongonui.
PUBLIC NOTIFICATION.
By Joseph May, Esquire, Deputy-Superintendent of the Province of Auckland.
UNDER and in pursuance of the powers vested in the Superintendent by the fourth section of "The Highways Act, 1871," I do hereby notify that from and after the date hereof all that portion of the Province of Auckland hereunder described shall be a District under the said Act, and that such District shall be known by the name of
THE MONGONUI TOWNSHIP HIGHWAY DISTRICT.
Bounded towards the north and east by high water-mark of Mongonui harbour; towards the south-east by the south-eastern boundary of allotment No. 17, and the southern side of the street forming the south-eastern boundaries of allotments Nos. 81, 82, 83, 84, 85, 86, 87, 88, 89, 263, 262, 261, 260, 259, 258, 257, and 256; towards the south-west by the south-western side of the street forming the south-western boundaries of allotments Nos. 256, 255, 240, 239, 224, 223, 208, 207, 192, 191, 176, and 175; and towards the north-west by the north-western side of the street which forms the north-western boundaries of allotments Nos. 175 aforesaid, 174, 173, 172, 171, 170, 169, 168, and 167, to the southern boundary of allotment No. 14, thence by the southern, western, and part of the northern boundaries of said allotment No. 14, and by the western boundaries of allotments Nos. 11, 20, 23, and 24, and by the northern boundary of said allotment No. 24, and by said boundary produced to the Mongonui harbour aforesaid.
