PUBLIC NOTIFICATION.

UNDER and in pursuance of the powers vested in the Superintendent by the fourth section of "The Highways Act, 1871," I do hereby alter and amend the several boundaries of the GRAFTON ROAD, NEWMARKET, and REMUERA Highway Districts as hereunder set forth.

Given under my hand at Auckland this thirteenth day of July, One thousand eight hundred and seventy-two.

The Grafton Road Highway District.

Amended Boundaries.

Bounded towards the north by the southern boundary of section number 34 of the City of Auckland, from Symonds-street to the Grafton road, thence by the centre of Grafton road aforesaid, and by the centre of the road which forms the southern boundary of section number 10 of the City of Auckland aforesaid, to Stanley-street, thence by the centre of Stanley-street aforesaid, and by the centre of the road to the Government domain, and by the centre of said road produced to the western boundary of said Government domain; towards the east by the western boundaries of the Government domain and Hospital Reserve to the road (known as Park road) which forms the northern boundaries of allotments numbers 20, 21, and 22, of section number 3 of the suburbs of Auckland aforesaid...

The Newmarket Highway District.

Amended Boundaries.

This district shall comprise all those lands bounded towards the north by the northern side of the road (known as Park road) which forms the northern boundaries of allotments numbers 23 and 24, and the north-eastern boundary of allotment number 25, all of section number 3, of the suburbs of Auckland, to the road which forms the northern boundaries of allotments numbers 31, 32, 33, and 34, of said section and suburbs last named, thence by the northern side of the road last described to the road which forms the north-western boundary of allotment number 25A, also of the section and suburbs before mentioned, thence by the northern side of said road to the road known as Whitson’s Brewery road, and thence by the northern side of Whitson’s Brewery road aforesaid to the Epsom Road, thence crossing said road to its eastern side at the north-western angle of allotment number 21 of section number 4 of the said suburbs of Auckland, and by the north-eastern boundary of said lot to the slaughter-house creek; towards the south-east by the slaughter-house creek aforesaid to the south-eastern angle of allotment number 23 of section number 4 of the suburbs aforesaid, thence by the southern boundary of said allotment number 23 to the Epsom road, continuing thence in a southerly direction to its intersection by a right line, being a production of the southern boundary of allotment number 16 of the suburbs of Auckland aforesaid; towards the south by said right line, by the southern boundary of allotment number 16 lastnamed, and by the road which forms the southern boundaries of allotments numbers 25, 26, 27, and 28, all of section number 6 of the suburbs of Auckland aforesaid, the crossing of a road 100 links wide, and by the road which forms the south-western boundary of allotment number 29 of the section and suburbs last-named...
