PUBLIC NOTIFICATION.

Auckland 10th July, 1872.
I DO hereby notify that I have accepted the resignation by
John Sheehan, Esq.,
of the office of Goldfields Secretary for this Province, and that I have this day appointed
Hugh Hart Lusk, Esq.,
to be Goldfields Secretary in his stead.

PUBLIC NOTIFICATION.

Superintendent of the Province of Auckland.
IN pursuance of the Quarantine Regulations in force within the Colony of New Zealand, and in compliance with a recommendation to that effect made by the Board of Health for the Port of Auckland, I do hereby appoint to be used for the performance of Quarantine, according to the said Regulations, the station or place within the Port of Auckland described in the Schedule hereunder.
Given under my hand at Auckland, this tenth day of July, one thousand eight hundred and seventy-two.

Schedule.
The Island “Hihi” (Motuihi) including all that portion of the foreshore or anchorage ground within a line drawn N.W. by N. from its S.W. extreme to the Pinnacle Rock off the western extreme, thence N.N.E. to the end of the Reef off N.W. extreme, and then N.E. by E. ½ E. to the North-eastern point of the Island, and on its South-eastern shore two cables’ lengths from high water mark.

IN pursuance of the 20th section of “The Auckland Waste Lands Act, 1870,” it is hereby notified for general information that application has been made to me by
Mr. Samuel Jno. De Carteret
for permission to construct a Dam across the Papakura River on lot 21 of the parish of Papakura, together with the necessary Water-right.
