PUBLIC NOTIFICATION

In pursuance of the 20th section of “The Auckland Waste Lands Act, 1870,” it is hereby notified for general information that application has been made to me by Mr. John Glasson for permission to construct a Dam across Whangamaire Creek, Karaka, together with the necessary Water-right.

I DO hereby notify that the Dedwood District Board has, with my approval, appointed Charles Maddocks to be the Keeper of the Public Pound at Dedwood, in the room of Wm. Alcock, resigned.

And I do hereby further notify that the fees and charges set forth in the Schedule annexed to the notification published in the Provincial Government Gazette, No. 26, dated 18th August, 1871, page 208, may be taken and charged by the said Keeper.
