In pursuance of the 29th section of “The Gold-fields Act, 1866,” and of the Regulations made
under that Act for the granting of Leases for Gold
Mining purposes, it is hereby notified that it is
intended to grant Leases for Gold Mining purposes
to the applicants specified in the Schedule here-
under, unless valid objections can be shewn against
granting such Leases.
Copies of the applications made and plans annexed
may be seen at the Warden’s Office, Coromandel.

SCHEDULE.
CHARLES SNOWDEN ; 15 years’ lease of 16 acres,
quartz reef, near Driving Creek, adjoining the
“Nil Desperandum” claim, Coromandel. Ease-
ment required—Right of Road to Nil Desperan-
dum Battery ; not held under Miners’ Rights ;
application received in Warden’s Office, Coro-
mandel, at 10 a.m., on the 24th November, 1871.
THOMAS DOUGLAS, of Coromandel ; 15 years’ lease of
16 acres; bounded on the north-eastern side by
the “Green Harp” and “Venus” leases and
the “Lothian” claim, and on other sides by
unoccupied ground; claim not held under
Miners’ Rights; application received in Warden’s
Office, Coromandel, at 11:50 a.m., on the 27th
November, 1871.
RICHARD COUPLAND ; 15 years’ lease of 16 acres at
Manaia, on Pukerangiora range. Easement
required—Water Right, Machine Site and Right
of Road; application received in Warden’s Office,
Coromandel, at 10:10 a.m., on the 1st December,
1871.

It is hereby notified that the Tolls and Fees for the
twelve calendar months, commencing 1st January,
1872, enumerated in the Schedule hereunder, will be
offered for sale by public auction at the Mart of Messrs.
Samuel Cochrane & Son, Fort Street, Auckland, on
Thursday, the 21st instant, at twelve o’clock, noon.
