NOTICE.

THE attention of Legal Managers is directed to the following sections of "The Mining Companies’ Limited Liability Act Amendment Act, 1869."

Section 13. The Manager of every Company registered under the said Act shall, in the months of June and December in the year one thousand eight hundred and seventy, and in every succeeding year, make out a true and faithful statement of the affairs of such Company in the form in the Schedule C. hereto annexed, and shall publish the same in the New Zealand Gazette and in the Gazette of the Province or County in which such Company carries on business.

Section 14. If any Manager shall fail to make and publish such statement as last aforesaid, he shall forfeit and pay a penalty of not exceeding two hundred pounds; or if any Manager shall knowingly insert in such statement any false matter whatsoever, he shall be guilty of a misdemeanour.

PUBLIC NOTIFICATION.

Superintendent’s Office,
Auckland, 4th December, 1871.

IT is hereby notified that a Writ, issued on the 24th ultimo, for the election of a member of the Provincial Council for the Electoral District of The Northern Division has been returned to this Office with a certificate endorsed thereon by the Returning Officer, to the effect that

Henry Warner Farnall,
of Wangaparoa, Freeholder, has been duly elected.

HAURAKI GOLDFIELD

PUBLIC NOTIFICATION.

Superintendent’s Office,
Auckland, 5th December, 1871.

IN pursuance of the 29th section of "The Goldfields Act, 1866," and of the Regulations made under that Act for the granting of Leases for Gold Mining purposes, it is hereby notified that it is intended to grant Leases for Gold Mining purposes to the Applicants specified in the Schedule hereunder, unless valid objections can be shown against granting such Leases:

Copies of the applications made, and plans annexed, may be seen at the Warden’s Office, Grahamstown.

The Thames View Gold Mining Company, Registered:
Applied for by C. Fletcher; 15 years’ lease of 1½ acres, quartz-reef; bounded by "Pukehinau," "Berkley Castle" and "Pride of Moanataiari" grounds Karaka; known as the "Thames View" Claim; held under Miners’ Rights; application received in Warden’s Office, Grahamstown, at 11 a.m. on the 20th November, 1871—R.B. 986.
