I HEREBY give Notice that in accordance with Clause 8 of the “Mining Companies’ Limited Liability Act Amendment Act, 1869,” the name of the Gold Mining Company at Coromandel known as “The Shamrock Gold Mining Company, Registered,” is this day changed to “The John Bull Gold Mining Company, Registered.”

PUBLIC NOTIFICATION.

IN pursuance of the sixth clause of “The Slaughter House Act, 1866,” it is hereby notified for general information that application has been made to the Superintendent by Mr. James Young for a private Slaughter House License to his premises on the Panmure Road.
Objections against the granting of such License must be lodged at this Office, within one calendar month from the date of publication hereof.

UNDER and in pursuance of the powers vested in the Superintendent by the fourth section of “The Highways Act, 1871,” I do hereby notify that all that portion of the Province of Auckland hereunder described shall be a District under the said Act, and that such District shall be known by the name prefixed thereto, that is to say—
THE TOWN OF OPOTIKI HIGHWAY DISTRICT,
bounded towards the north-east by the Otara River; towards the south by suburban allotments Nos. 17, 16, 15, 14, 13, 5, 4, 3, 2, and 1, and towards the west and north-west by the Waioeka and Otara Rivers.

IN pursuance of the fifth section of “The Highways Act, 1871,” I do hereby bring the said Act into operation within the Town of Opotiki Highway District, and I do hereby appoint the First Meeting of Ratepayers to take place at the Masonic Hotel, Opotiki, on Thursday, the thirtieth day of November, instant, at seven o’clock p.m., and Mr. Loftus Richards to be Chairman of such Meeting.
