HAURAKI GOLDFIELD
PUBLIC NOTIFICATION.
IN pursuance of the 29th section of "The Goldfields Act, 1866," and of the Regulations made under that Act for the granting of Leases for Gold Mining purposes, it is hereby notified that it is intended to grant Leases for Gold Mining purposes to the applicants specified in the Schedule hereunder, unless valid objections can be shown against granting such Leases.
Copies of the applications made, and plans annexed, may be seen at the Warden’s Office, Grahamstown.

SCHEDULE.
The Ne Plus Ultra Gold Mining Company, to be registered: applied for by Malcolm Bruce; 15 years’ lease of 16 acres; bounded by the “Vale of Avoca,” “Multum in Parvo,” and “Bank of New Zealand” Leases; known as the “Yarra Yarra” Claim, and unoccupied ground; application received in Warden’s Office, Grahamstown, at 11:30 a.m. on the 21st October, 1871—R.B. 977.
W. B. Heath, of Grahamstown, Mining Agent: 15 years’ lease of 16 acres of quartz-bearing land between the Karaka and Waiotahi Creeks; bounded on the east by the “Claremont” Gold Mining Company, and on the west by “Hunt’s No. 2” Claim, comprising the old “Flower of Leicester” Claim and abandoned ground, Karaka Block; not held under Miners’ Rights; application received in Warden’s Office, Grahamstown, at 3:20 p.m. on the 24th October, 1871—R.B. 978.
Edwin Hornsby and William Lang Thorburn, of Thames Goldfield: applied for by E. Hornsby; 15 years’ lease of 2½ acres of quartz-mining land; bounded on the north and east by the “Cock-a-Doodle” Gold Mining Company on the south by the “Tanunda” Claim, and on the west by the “Wild Missouri” Gold Mining Company, Tararu; ground partly held under Miners’ Rights and known as the “Yankee Doodle” Claim; application received in Warden’s Office, Grahamstown, at 12 noon, on October 26, 1871—R.B. 979.
Crosbie Kidd and William B. McMenemin, of Grahamstown, Miners: 15 years’ lease of 10 acres, more or less; bounded on the south by the “Queen of the Thames,” on the north by the “Wai-o-Karaka” Lease, and on the west by the “Queen of the May” and “City of Lundon” Claims, Karaka Block; ground held under Miners’ Rights and known as the “Alisinia” Claim; application received in Warden’s Office, Grahamstown, at 2:45 p.m. on the 26th October, 1871—R.B. 980.
