AUCKLAND PROVINCIAL GOVERNMENT GAZETTE.

SCHEDULE.

FEES AND PRICES TO BE TAKEN AND CHARGED BY POUNDKEEPERS.

I.—Poundage Fees.

For every Horse, Mare, Gelding, Colt, Filly, 2 6
Foal, Mule, or Ass
Bull, Cow, Ox, Steer, Heifer, or Calf 2 6
Ram, Ewe, Wether, or Lamb 0 2
For the first twenty 0 1½
The next thirty 0 1
The next fifty 0 ½
All others above 100 0 ¼
Boar, Sow, or other Pig 1 0
Goat or Kid 1 0

The above fees to be paid for each day, or part of a day, during which the animal is kept in pound.

II.—Charges for Food.

The above charges to be paid for each day or part of a day, during which the animal is supplied with food and water by the Poundkeeper, but the owner may supply food and water, in which case these charges are not to be made.

III.—Charges for giving notice of Impounding.

The charge for giving notice of the impounding of Cattle to the owner thereof, or his agent, shall be computed at the rate of one shilling for every mile or part of a mile of the distance between the public pound and the usual place of residence of such owner, or agent as the case may be.

IV. Charges for giving public notice under the 20th Section of the said Act.

NOTICE is hereby given, in accordance with the provisions of “The Highways Act, 1871,” that certified copies of the Assessment Lists for the Highway Districts of

  • PIRONGIA,
  • TURANGA,
  • ARCH HILL, and
  • DEDWOOD,

have been forwarded to this Office.

BYE-LAW (No. 2.)

BYE-LAW TO PAVE QUEEN-STREET WITHIN CERTAIN LIMITS.

BYE-LAW of the Council of the Borough of Auckland, made under special order of the said Council, dated the 14th day of August, One thousand eight hundred and seventy-one, confirmed the 11th day of September, One thousand eight hundred and seventy-one, and sealed with the common seal of the Council of the said Borough the 13th day of September, One thousand eight hundred and seventy-one.

In pursuance of sections 156 and 269 of “The Municipal Corporations Act, 1867,” the Council of the Borough of Auckland ordain as follows, that is to say:

  1. The Footpath in Queen-street from the embankment in Upper Queen-street to Custom-house-street on the East side, and from Custom-house-street to the said embankment on the West side, shall be paved in such manner as the Council may direct.
