SCHEDULE.

The Imperial Crown Gold Mining Company, Limited,
applied for by Charles Tothill; 15 years’ lease of
6 acres, or thereabouts, bounded on the north-
west by “Imperial Crown” leases, north-east by
“Manukau,” “Waiotahi,” and “Duke of
Magenta,” and south-east by “Prince Imperial”
ground, Karaka; lease dated 29th December,
1870, to be surrendered for the purpose of this
application; application received in Warden’s
Office, Grahamstown, at 11:45 a.m. 30th Sep-
tember, 1871.—R.B. 966.

PUBLIC NOTIFICATION.

IT is hereby notified that the application for a
Mining Lease set forth in the Schedule here-
under has been withdrawn.

SCHEDULE.

James Darrow, of Grahamstown, Miner; 15 years’
lease of 16 acres; bounded on the south by the
“Felix” lease, on the west by Kai Kai Creek,
and on the east by unoccupied ground, Tinker’s
Gully, Tararu; application (R.B. 962) dated
26th September, 1871; withdrawn 7th October,
1871.

COROMANDEL GOLDFIELD.

PUBLIC NOTIFICATION.

In pursuance of the 29th section of “The Gold-
fields Act, 1866,” and of the Regulations made
under that Act for the granting of Leases for Gold
Mining purposes, it is hereby notified that it is
intended to grant Leases for Gold Mining pur-
poses to the applicants specified in the Schedule here-
under, unless valid objections can be shown against
granting such Leases.

Copies of the applications made, and plans annexed,
may be seen at the Warden’s Office, Coromandel.

SCHEDULE.

James C. Davies: 15 years’ lease of 12 acres of
auriferous land adjoining the “Golden Pat” and
“Pacific” claims to the north, the “Neptune”
to the south and the “Koh-i-noor” to the east;
ground not held under Miners’ Rights; applica-
tion received in Warden’s Office, Coromandel, at
12:40 p.m., on the 5th October, 1871.

The Harbour View Gold Mining Company, Regis-
tered, applied for by P. Tierney; 15 years’ lease
of 16 acres of quartz land, bounded on the north
by “Pride of Tokatea,” on the south by the
“Harbour View” Gold Mining Company’s lease,
on the east by Horne’s leases Saddle, and on the
west by “Victoria” lease and unoccupied
ground; ground not held under Miners’ Rights;
application received in Warden’s Office, Coro-
mandel, at 11:15 a.m. on the 6th October, 1871.

James C. Davies: 15 years’ lease of 16 acres of
auriferous land, adjoining the “Kapanga” Com-
pany’s lease to the north; application received
in Warden’s Office, Coromandel, at 10:30 a.m.
on the 3rd October, 1871.

W. Horne: 15 years’ lease of 16 acres of quartz
reef; bounded on the south by the “Puketutu”
Company’s lease, on the east by unoccupied
ground, on the north by the “Pride of Tokatea”
Company’s lease and “Rainbow” claim, and
on the west by the “Harbour View” lease; ground
not held under Miners’ Rights; application re-
ceived in Warden’s Office, Coromandel, at 12:15
p.m., on the 4th October, 1871.

PUBLIC NOTIFICATION.

By Joseph May, Esquire, Deputy-Superin-
tendent of the Province of Auckland.

UNDER and in pursuance of the powers in the
Superintendent vested by “The Impounding Act,
1867,” I do hereby declare that on and after the date
of publication hereof, the District known as

THE LAKE HIGHWAY DISTRICT

shall be and become an Impounding District for the
purposes of the said Act.

Given under my hand at Auckland, this
ninth day of October, One thousand
eight hundred and seventy-one.

PUBLIC NOTIFICATION.

By Joseph May, Esquire, Deputy-Superin-
tendent of the Province of Auckland.

UNDER and in pursuance of the powers in the
Superintendent vested by “The Impounding
Act, 1867,” I do hereby appoint those premises
situated within the boundaries of the LAKE Highway
District, being allotment No. 89 in the Parish of
Takapuna, to be and be used as a Public Pound for
the purposes of the said recited Act.

Given under my hand, at Auckland, this
ninth day of October, One thousand
eight hundred and seventy-one.

I DO hereby notify that the Highway Trustees of
the Lake District have, with my approval,
appointed

Mr. James Sheriff

to be the Keeper of the Public Pound at the LAKE.
And I do hereby further notify that the fees and prices
set forth in the following Schedule may be taken and
charged by the said Keeper.
