The names of the undermentioned persons, appointed Collectors of Rates for the Highway Districts set opposite their respective names, have been reported to this Office:—

PUBLIC NOTICE.

The principal money will be repaid within fifteen years. The amount of the Special Rate, which it is proposed should be made for securing the above loan, is Sixpence in the Pound upon all rateable property situate within the Borough.

Offices of the Council of the Borough of Auckland,

NOTICE is hereby given that, in pursuance of Part XVI. of “The Municipal Corporations Act, 1867,” the Council of the Borough of Auckland propose to borrow a sum of £20,000 for the purposes of erecting a Market Place, making Streets and Drainage.

The Debentures will be £50 each, and interest thereon at six per cent. will be paid half-yearly on the 10th January and 10th July in each year, at the Borough Council Office, in Auckland.


I THE undersigned, Thomas Douglas, hereby make application to register “The Koh-i-noor Gold Mining Company, Registered,” under the provisions of “The Mining Companies’ Limited Liability Act, 1865” and “The Mining Companies’ Limited Liability Act Amendment Acts, 1869 and 1870,” and I do solemnly and sincerely declare that the following statement is, to the best of my belief and knowledge, true in every particular, namely—

  1. The name and style of the Company is The Koh-i-noor Gold Mining Company, Registered.

  2. The place of operations is at Kovan’s Hill, Coromandel Goldfields, in the Province of Auckland, in the Colony of New Zealand.

  3. The nominal capital of the Company is Ten thousand pounds in Ten thousand shares of One pound each.

  4. The amount already paid-up in cash is Nil, and the amount paid-up in partly paid-up shares is Five thousand pounds.

  5. The name of the manager is Thomas Douglas.

  6. The office of the Company is at Lower Township, Coromandel.

  7. The names and several residences of the shareholders, and the number of shares held by each at this date, are as follows, namely—

I HEREBY notify that the name of “The Harbour View Gold Mining Company, Registered,” has been changed to that of “The Thames View Gold Mining Company, Registered,” in accordance with the powers vested in me by the provisions of “The Mining Companies’ Limited Liability Act Amendment Act, 1869.”
