NOTICE is hereby given, that the Crown Grants to the undermentioned persons, for the undermentioned Blocks of Land in the Province of Auckland, have been forwarded by the Secretary for Crown Lands to the Registrar of Deeds here for delivery to the Grantees.

VICTORIA, by the Grace of God, of the UNITED KINGDOM OF GREAT BRITAIN AND IRELAND, QUEEN, Defendant of the Faith.

To James Ferguson, of the City of Auckland, in the Colony of New Zealand, Sharebroker; Henry John Pilcher, of the City of Auckland aforesaid, Clerk, and Thomas Hallowes, of the City of Auckland aforesaid, Sharebroker.

GREETING:
Whereas an action is now pending in our Supreme Court of New Zealand, Northern District, Province of Auckland, between Alexander Saunders, of the City of Auckland, in the County of Eden, in the Province of Auckland, in the Colony of New Zealand, Sharebroker, Plaintiff; and George Johnson, formerly of the said City of Auckland, but now in parts beyond the seas of the said Colony of New Zealand, Sharebroker, Defendant; and in order that the Plaintiff may proceed in his said action We command you that you and each of you do retain and keep all and singular lands and other hereditaments, monies, and chattels, bills, bonds and other property of whatsoever nature in the custody or under the control of you or either of you at the time of the service of this writ, belonging to the above-named defendant, or to or in which such defendant shall at that time be legally or equitably entitled or otherwise beneficially interested, and whether solely or jointly with any other person or persons; and all debts, every kind then due by you or either of you to such defendant, although the same or part thereof may be payable only at a future day.

Witness SIR GEORGE ALFRED ARNEY, Knight Chief Justice of our Supreme Court of New Zealand, at Auckland, this Thirtieth day of August, One thousand eight hundred and seventy-one.

If you or either of you part with any of the defendant's property, or pay him any debts due to him you will become personally responsible to the plaintiff.

This writ was issued by William Henry Kissling, of 74, Queen-street, Auckland, Solicitor for the plaintiff.
