PUBLIC NOTIFICATION.

Superintendent’s Office,
Auckland, 13th September, 1871.

IT is hereby notified that separate tenders, in writing, will be received at this Office, until twelve o’clock, noon on Monday, the sixteenth day of October, proximo, for the Lease respectively of the Common School Reserves specified in the Schedule hereunder.

SCHEDULE.

The lease for a period of seven years of lot 2 of the Township of Port Albert.

The lease for a period of five years of lots 242, 243, 245, and 246, Herd’s Point, Hokianga.

The lease for a period of seven years of lot 57 of section 16 of the suburbs of Auckland (Remuera) containing 10 acres 3 roods 29 perches.

PUBLIC NOTIFICATION.

UNDER and in pursuance of the powers vested in the Superintendent under the fourth clause of “The Highways Act, 1871,” I do hereby alter and amend the boundaries of the Kirikirihoa Highway District as hereunder set forth.

Given under my hand at Auckland, this thirtieth day of August, One thousand eight hundred and seventy-one.

THE KIRIKIRIROA HIGHWAY DISTRICT.

AMENDED BOUNDARIES.

Bounded towards the north by the Mangawara and Komakarau rivers from the Waikato river to the south-eastern boundary of allotment No. 440 of the parish of Komakarau, thence by a right line bearing due east from the northern termination of the boundary last-named, to the north-eastern boundary of the confiscated territory; towards the east by the confiscation boundary last described; towards the south-east by a right line bearing south-west from the confiscation boundary before mentioned to the Tamahere Creek, thence by said creek to the Waikato river; and towards the south-west and north-west by the Waikato river to the Mangawara river, the place of commencement, exclusive of so much of the lands and roads or streets as are comprised within the boundaries of Hamilton East Township Highway District.

PUBLIC NOTIFICATION.

By Joseph May, Esquire, Deputy-Superintendent of the Province of Auckland.

UNDER and in pursuance of the powers vested in the Superintendent under the fourth clause of “The Highways Act, 1871,” I do hereby notify that all that portion of the Province of Auckland hereunder described shall be a District under the said Act, and that such District shall be known by the name prefixed thereto, that is to say —

THE HAMILTON EAST TOWNSHIP HIGHWAY DISTRICT.

Bounded towards the north-east by rural allotments Nos. 223A, 224, 225, 229, 230, and 231, thence crossing a road one hundred links wide, and by rural allotment No. 251, thence by the north-eastern side of the road which forms the south-western boundary of said last-named lot, and by rural allotment No. 254 to the Waikato river, towards the south-east and south-west by the Waikato river aforesaid, and towards the north-west by rural allotments Nos. 219, 220, 223 and 223A which said allotments, together with all allotments hereinbefore mentioned are in the parish of Kirikirihoa.

Given under my hand at Auckland, this thirtieth day of August, One thousand eight hundred and seventy-one.

PUBLIC NOTIFICATION.

IN pursuance of the fifth section of “The Highways Act, 1871,” I do hereby bring the said Act into operation within the Whakapaku Highway District, and I do appoint the First Meeting of Ratepayers to take place at the Oruaiti Meeting-house, on Wednesday, the 18th day of October proximo, at 11 o’clock in the forenoon, and Thomas Ball, Esq., of Oruaiti, to be Chairman of such meeting.

Given under my hand, at Auckland, this fourth day of September, One thousand eight hundred and seventy-one.

IN pursuance of the fifth section of “The Highways Act, 1871,” I do hereby bring the said Act into operation within the Cambridge North Township Highway District, and I do appoint the First Meeting of Ratepayers to take place at the Court-house, Cambridge, on Wednesday, the twentieth day of September instant, at twelve o’clock noon, and John Wilson, Esq., J.P., to be Chairman of such meeting.

Given under my hand, at Auckland, this ninth day of September, one thousand eight hundred and seventy-one.

HEREBY notify that the several Chairmen of the afternamed District Boards under “The Highways Act, 1871,” have reported in writing to the Superintendent the names of the undermentioned persons duly appointed members of those Boards respectively, to supply vacancies —

MAUNGAKARAMEA — James Best, vice William Goodrich Rogers, resigned.

PAKURANGA — Charles J. Storey, vice Every Macdonald, resigned.
