I HEREBY notify that the several Chairmen of the after-named District Boards, under “The Highways Act, 1871,” have reported in writing to the Superintendent the names of the under-mentioned persons, duly appointed members of those Boards respectively—

NOTICE TO MARINERS.
DIRECTIONS FOR CROSSING HOKIANGA BAR.
WITH reference to a “Notice to Mariners,” published in the Provincial Government Gazette dated 11th October, 1870, respecting the shifting of the channel over Hakianga Bar, it is hereby notified that the directions then given for crossing are no longer correct. The Pilot at Hokianga reporting that the deepest water now over the bar (17 feet at low water springs) is with the two white beacons in Martin’s Bay direct in line bearing E.N.E. magnetic.
Masters of vessels crossing the bar are requested to pay strict attention to the semaphore arm at the signal-station, steering in the direction to which the arm is pointed and keeping steady when the arm is dropped.

I, THE undersigned, JAMES SPRY, hereby make application to Register “THE PRIDE OF YORK GOLD MINING COMPANY, REGISTERED,” under the provisions of the “Mining Companies’ Limited Liability Act, 1865,” and Amended Acts, 1869 and 1870, and I do solemnly and sincerely declare that the following statement is, to the best of my belief and knowledge, true in every particular, namely—
