William Crush Daldy, William Aitken, Charles Ringland, others, applied for by W. Horne: 15 years' lease of 16 acres, unoccupied and abandoned ground; bounded on the south and west by Ring and Woolam’s lease, not held under Miners’ Rights. Right to discharge mullock over the adjoining ground; application received in Warden’s Office, Coromandel, at 4 p.m., 5th June, 1871.
Charles Wallace Hall on behalf of the Burra Burra Gold Mining Company: 15 years’ lease of 16 acres, situated on the southern bank of the Matawai Creek; bounded on the east and west by two small creeks near the old "Driving Dam," partly held under Miners’ Rights by "Burra Burra" Claims; application received in Warden’s Office, Coromandel, at 12.20 p.m. on the 9th June, 1871.
George Norman, William Yelland, Charles Stanners, Jacob Vanderspek, James Johnson, William Allen, James Henderson, James Ohlson, Thomas Snell, J. Wytchgell, James Thompson (applied for by George Norman): 15 years’ lease of 15 acres, quartz, situated on Keven’s Point, at the beach, Coromandel; bounded on the west by the claim of the "Venus" Gold Mining Company, Registered, on the south by the lease of Woolam’s and McGregor, on the north-west by the "Green Harp" Claim, and on all other sides by unoccupied ground known as the Pacific Claim, partly held under Miners’ Rights with right of way to Kapanga Creek; application received in Warden’s Office, Coromandel, at 10.15 a.m. on the 10th June, 1871.
R. H. N. Harrison, for the Golden Belt Gold Mining Company: 15 years’ lease of 16 acres, situated on the Tiki, near the Matawai, being ground known as the "Golden Belt," "Queen of the Tiki," and "Niagara;" "The Golden Belt" is now held under Miners’ Rights. Water Rights from the Waterfall and Road Rights required; application received in Warden’s Office, Coromandel, at 11 a.m., 14th June, 1871.
PUBLIC NOTIFICATION.
By Thomas Bannatyne Gillies, Esquire, Superintendent of the Province of Auckland.
Hereby notify, for public information, that the land mentioned and described in the Schedule hereunder, situated in the parish of Mangawai, in the County of Marsden, and being part of allotment No. 56; bounded towards the north-east by other portion of allotment No. 56, 892 links, 1,342 links, 113 links, and 103 links; towards the south by the Oruawharo parish boundary, 228 links; towards the south-west by other portion of allotment No. 56, 18 links, 1,358 links, and 873 links, and towards the north-west by a road 100 links wide, 110 links, and delineated on the plan of the said allotment No. 56 in the Waste Lands Office.
PUBLIC NOTIFICATION.
By virtue of the powers in me vested by "The Highways Act, 1871," I do hereby notify that all that portion of the Province of Auckland hereunder described shall be a district under the said Act, and that such district shall be known by the name prefixed thereto, that is to say—
THE RUSSELL HIGHWAY DISTRICT.
Comprising all those lands situated at the Bay of Islands, being bounded towards the north by high-water mark of the sea from Tapeka Head to the northernmost angle of the land known as Clendon’s Grant at Manawaora Bay; towards the north-east by the north-eastern boundary of Clendon’s Grant aforesaid from Manawaora Bay to Keven’s Point; towards the east by the south-eastern boundary of the land known as Clendon’s Grant aforesaid from the point last mentioned to its intersection with a right line bearing due north from the north-eastern angle of Stewart’s Claim at the Tipatipa Creek, thence by said line to the north-eastern angle of Stewart’s Claim aforesaid, and by the northern and western boundaries of said Claim to the Tipatipa Creek aforesaid; towards the south by the Tipatipa Creek and the Waikare River to the western boundary of Clendon’s Grant at Okiato Bay, and towards the west by high-water mark of the sea from Okiato Bay last named to Tapeka Head first-mentioned the place of commencement.

PUBLIC NOTIFICATION.
By Thomas Bannatyne Gillies, Esquire, Superintendent’s Office, Superintendent of the Province of Auckland, 14th June, 1871.
In pursuance of the 6th clause of "The Slaughterhouse Act, 1866," it is hereby notified for general information that application has been made to me by Albert Dornwell, of Auckland, for the renewal of the private Slaughter-house License granted to his premises, situated near the Three Kings, being part of allotments Nos. 7 and 9, section 13.
Objections against the granting of such License must be lodged at this Office within one calendar month from the date of publication hereof.
