✨ Wharf Rates and Highway District Boundaries
AUCKLAND PROVINCIAL GOVERNMENT GAZETTE.
For goods of every description, timber, or other article taken upon the said wharf to be shipped, or landed or placed thereon for delivery, for every truck load, or every ton or part of a ton ..................................................... 0 3
For each and every horse, ass, mule, and neat cattle which shall go or be taken upon the said wharf............................................................. 0 3
For each and every sheep, pig, or goat which shall go or be taken upon the said wharf..................... 0 1
No goods, timber, or other article shall be deposited on the said wharf except in the act of landing or shipping the same, or for such time as may be allowed by the Wharfinger.
The master of any vessel hauling alongside the said wharf shall berth, moor, or remove his vessel as the Wharfinger may direct, and in default thereof shall forfeit or pay the sum of £5.
And I do also hereby appoint that the said rates, dues and charges, and none other, shall be levied on and after this date.

In pursuance of the sixth clause of “The Slaughterhouse Act, 1866,” it is hereby notified that an application has been made to me by
John Fisher, of Auckland,
for a private slaughter-house license to the premises known as Peachey’s farm, at Ellerslie.
Objections against the granting of such license must be lodged at this office within one calendar month from the date of publication hereof.

Under and in pursuance of the powers in me vested by the fourth clause of “The Highways Act, 1871,” I do hereby notify that I have altered and amended the general boundaries of the Parnell and Remuera Highway Districts, as hereunder set forth.

THE REMUERA HIGHWAY DISTRICT.
AMENDED BOUNDARIES.
This district shall comprise all those lands bounded on the north by Orakei creek and Hobson’s Bay to the Slaughter-house creek, thence by the middle of said creek to the north side of the Grammar School road, thence by the north side of said road from the creek aforesaid to the east side of the Epsom road; on the west by the east side of the Epsom road aforesaid to the Great South road; on the south by the Great South road aforesaid by the junction of roads at the Harp of Erin Inn, thence by a direct line to the south-western angle of allotment No. 25 of Section No. 12 of the suburbs of Auckland, and on the east by the southern and eastern boundaries of said allotment No. 25 of Section No. 12 aforesaid to the Tamaki road; thence by the south side of said road to the eastern boundary of Section No. 16, and thence by the eastern boundary of Section No. 16 aforesaid to the Orakei creek, the place of commencement; including all roads traversing the lands within the above-described boundaries.

THE PARNELL HIGHWAY DISTRICT.
AMENDED BOUNDARIES.
This district shall comprise all those lands bounded on the west by the City of Auckland, as defined in the Schedule to “The City Board Act, 1863,” and by the north and east boundaries of the Government Domain to Whitson’s brewery road; on the south by the north side of Whitson’s brewery road aforesaid to the east side of the Epsom road; on the east by the east side of the Epsom road aforesaid to the north side of the Grammar School road; again on the south by the north side of the Grammar School road aforesaid to the middle of the Slaughter-house creek, thence by the middle of said creek to Hobson’s Bay; again on the east by Hobson’s Bay aforesaid, and on the north by Waitemata harbour; including allotment No. 1 of Section No. 31 of the City of Auckland (being a hospital endowment, Mechanics’ Bay), and all roads traversing the lands within the beforementioned boundaries.
THE PAKURANGA HIGHWAY DISTRICT.
AMENDED BOUNDARIES.
Bounded towards the north-east by high-water mark of the Waitemata Harbour from the northern extremity of allotment No. 56 of the parish of Pakuranga to Mellan’s Bay, towards the East by the road leading from Mellan’s Bay aforesaid and passing through section No. 10 of small lots near the Village of Howick, and forming the southern boundary of allotment No. 10 and the south-eastern boundaries of allotments No. 22, 21, 20 and 18 of said section No. 10, thence by the same road continued which also forms the eastern boundaries of sections Nos. 1 and 2 of small lots near the village of Howick aforesaid and the eastern boundaries of allotments Nos. 12, 73 and 79 of the Parish of Pakuranga aforesaid to the south-eastern angle of last-named lot, towards the south by the road which forms the southern boundary of allotment No. 79 aforesaid and also the southern boundary of allotment No. 20 of the Parish of Pakuranga before-mentioned from the south-eastern angle of allotment No. 79 aforesaid to the creek known as King’s Creek which forms the eastern boundary of allotment No. 26 of the Parish of Pakuranga aforesaid, and thence by that creek and the Tamaki river to the Panmure Bridge, and towards the west by the Tamaki River aforesaid from the Panmure Bridge to the northern extremity of allotment No. 56 first-mentioned, the place of commencement.
