HEREBY notify that the Chairman of the First Meeting of the Electors of the TAURANGA District under "The Highways Act, 1867," has reported, in writing, to me the names and designations of the undermentioned gentlemen, duly elected Highway Trustees for that District—

OPAHEKE ROAD ACT, 1870.
An Act to close up certain Roads in the Parish of Opaheke, in the County of Eden, in the Province of Auckland, and to authorise the Governor to grant the land occupied by the said roads to Henry Chamberlin, of Auckland, Esquire.
Preamble.
Whereas it is expedient to close up the roads mentioned and described in the Schedule A to this Act annexed as being no longer required for public uses And whereas the said roads so to be closed up as aforesaid pass through certain lands the
JOHN WILLIAMSON, Commissioner of Crown Lands for the Province of Auckland,
by virtue of the powers in me vested by clause 69 of "The Auckland Waste Lands Act, 1867," do hereby delegate to the Board of Trustees of the TAMAKI WEST Highway District, all the powers given and duties imposed by the Ordinance in the said clause mentioned, to or upon the Commissioner of Crown Lands, or Wardens in relation to the management of Crown Lands within the limits of such portion of the Hundred of Panmure as is comprised within the TAMAKI WEST Highway District.
