  1. That Seven o’Clock p.m. shall be deemed the
    regular hour of all Meetings.

  2. It shall be competent for the Chairman of
    the Board to give notice of, or move any Resolution,
    provided that, previous to proposing such resolution,
    he leave the Chair, and another Member be
    appointed pro. tem., until such resolution or
    resolutions shall have been disposed of, when he
    shall again resume the Chair.

Read, approved, and adopted at a meeting of the
Board held on Monday, July 25th, 1870.

It is hereby notified that a Lease has been refused
to the Applicant named in the Schedule hereunder.

Henry Hay and William Waters; 15 years’ lease
of 5 acres more or less; bounded by the
“Mount Pleasant,” “Tweedside,” “Rob Roy,” Connolly Leetch’s ground, and
Shortland Township, Karaka, comprising
part of unworked “Ashley” Gold Mining
Company’s lease, and part unoccupied
ground; application notified in Gazette No.
37, dated 20th July, 1870, page 815.


PUBLIC NOTIFICATION.

Auckland, 24th September, 1870.

It is hereby notified that a Lease has been
refused to the Applicant named in the Schedule
hereunder, and that the land therein mentioned, in
so far as not occupied under Miners’ Rights is now
open for occupation.

Plan may be seen at the Engineer’s Office,
Grahamstown.

It is hereby notified that the several Mining
Leases set forth in the Schedule hereunder
have been cancelled on account of non-execution,
and that all rights, privileges, and claims in respect
of the applications for the same are deemed to have
been forfeited, and that the land therein mentioned,
in so far as not occupied under Miners’ Rights, is
now open for occupation.

“Perseverance,” and “Lucky Diggers”

The Pride of Parnell Gold Mining Company,
Registered; applied for by Edwin Hesketh;
15 years’ lease of 7 acres, 2 roods,
21 perches; situate on the Karaka Creek,
and bounded by the “Mount Aurum,”
“Last Hit,” “Flag of Britannia,”
“Golden Isle,” “Central Star,” and
“Earl of Erin” Claims; application
notified in Gazette No. 79, dated 16th
October, 1869, page 1360.

hereunder has been taken as a Public Road.

A road one hundred links wide, traversing the
South-western boundary of Allotment No. 81 of
the Parish of Kourawhero, County of Marsden, as
the same is more particularly marked on the plan
