UNDER and in pursuance of the powers in me vested by the third clause of "The Highways Act, 1867," I do hereby notify that I have altered and amended the several boundaries of the Parnell, Remuera, and Newmarket Highway Districts, as hereunder set forth.

The Parnell Highway District.

Amended Boundaries.

This District shall comprise all those lands bounded on the West by the City of Auckland, as defined in the Schedule to "The City Board Act, 1863," and by the Government Domain to Whitson’s Brewery Road; on the South by Whitson’s Brewery Road aforesaid; on the East by the East side of the Epsom Road from Whitson’s Brewery Road to the Grammar School Road to the Slaughter-house Creek, thence by the said Creek to Hobson’s Bay; and on the North by Hobson’s Bay aforesaid, and the Waitemata Harbour; including allotment No. 1 of section 31, of the Town of Auckland (being a Hospital Endowment, Mechanics’ Bay), and all roads traversing the lands within the before-mentioned boundaries.

The Remuera Highway District.

Amended Boundaries.

This District shall comprise all those lands bounded on the North by Orakei Creek and Hobson’s Bay to the North bank of the Slaughter-house Creek aforesaid, and by the said North bank of the Slaughter-house Creek aforesaid, and the North side of the Road from the said Creek to the Grammar School; on the West by the Epsom Road to the Great South Road; on the South by the Great South Road to the junction of Roads at the Harp of Erin Inn, thence by a direct line to the South-western angle of allotment No. 25, of section No. 12, and by the Southern boundaries of allotments Nos. 25 and 34 of the said section; and on the East by the Eastern boundary of allotment No. 34, of section No. 12, aforesaid, and by the South side of the Tamaki Road to the Eastern angle of section No. 16, and thence by the Eastern side of section No. 16, aforesaid, to the Orakei Creek before named; including all roads traversing the lands within the above-mentioned boundaries.

The Newmarket Highway District.

Amended Boundaries.

This District shall comprise all those lands bounded towards the North by the Northern side of the road (known as Park Road) which forms the Northern boundaries of allotments Nos. 23 and 24, and the North-eastern boundary of allotment No. 25, all of section No. 3 of the suburbs of Auckland, to the road which forms the Northern boundaries of allotments Nos. 31, 32, 33, and 34 of said section and suburbs last named, thence by the Northern side of the road last described, to the road which forms the North-western boundary of allotment No. 25, also of the section and suburbs before mentioned, thence by the Northern side of said road, to the road known as Whitson’s Brewery Road, and thence by the Northern side of Whitson’s Brewery Road aforesaid; towards the East by the East side of the Epsom Road aforesaid, from Whitson’s Brewery Road to the South-eastern angle of allotment No. 16 of section No. 6 of the suburbs of Auckland; towards the South by the Southern boundary of allotment No. 16 aforesaid, and by the road which forms the Southern boundaries of allotments Nos. 25, 26, 27, 28, and 29 of the section and suburbs last mentioned; and towards the West by the centre of the road which forms the Western boundary of allotment No. 29 aforesaid, and being known as the Mount Eden Stockade Road, to its junction with the Kyber Pass Road, thence Westerly by the centre of the Kyber Pass Road to the South-eastern angle of allotment No. 4 of section No. 6 of the suburbs aforesaid, thence by the Eastern boundary of said allotment No. 4, crossing a road one hundred links wide, to the South-eastern angle of allotment No. 22 of section No. 3 of the suburbs of Auckland aforesaid, and by the Eastern boundary of said allotment No. 22, and by same boundary produced to the Northern side of Park Road, the point of commencement.
