AUCKLAND PROVINCIAL GOVERNMENT GAZETTE.
PUBLIC NOTIFICATION.
By Joseph May, Esquire, Deputy-Superintendent of the Province of Auckland.
UNDER and in pursuance of the powers vested in the Superintendent by the third clause of "The Highways Act, 1867," I do hereby notify that I have altered and amended the boundaries of the Mount Albert, Tauranga, Waimart, Pirongia, Papakura, Manukau, and Turanga Highway Districts, as in the Schedule hereunder set forth.

SCHEDULE.
The Mount Albert Highway District.
Amended Boundaries.
Bounded towards the North by the Great North Road, from Oakley’s Creek at the Western angle of allotment number 30, of the Parish of Titirangi, to the Northern angle of allotment No. 13, of section No. 7 of the suburbs of Auckland; towards the North-east by the South-western and Southern boundaries of the Karangahape Highway District, from the Westernmost angle of allotment No. 12, of section No. 7, of the suburbs of Auckland aforesaid, to the South-eastern angle of allotment No. 2, of section and suburbs last mentioned; towards the East by the road which forms the Eastern boundary of allotment No. 1 of section No. 7 aforesaid, and also the North-eastern boundary of allotment No. 2 of section No. 10 to the Northernmost point of allotment No. 1 of said section, thence by the North-western and part of the Southern boundaries of allotment No. 1 aforesaid, to the North-eastern angle of allotment No. 10 of said section, thence by the Eastern and Southern boundaries of said allotment No. 10 to the road which forms the Eastern boundaries of allotments Nos. 11 and 12, thence by the centre of said road to the South-eastern angle of allotment No. 12 aforesaid, and by the Southern boundary of said allotment No. 12 to the North-eastern angle of allotment No. 137, thence by the Eastern boundary of allotment No. 137 aforesaid, and the Eastern boundaries of allotments Nos. 138, 139, 140, 141, 142, 143, 144, 145, 146, and 178 of section No. 10 aforesaid, as also the Eastern boundary of allotment No. 46 of the parish of Titirangi, to its South-eastern angle; towards the South by the centre of the road which forms the South-western boundary of allotment No. 46 aforesaid, and the South-western boundaries of allotments Nos. 45 and 44, and part of the South-western boundary of allotment No. 43, to the road which forms the South-eastern boundary of allotment No. 50, thence by the centre of said road to a point being a continuation of the North-eastern boundary of allotment No. 51, thence crossing the before-mentioned road and by the North-eastern and South-eastern boundaries of allotment No. 51 aforesaid, to the road which forms its South-western boundary, thence crossing said road, and by the South-eastern boundary of allotment No. 52 to the rivulet, thence westerly along said rivulet to the North-eastern boundary of allotment No. 65; towards the West by the rivulet aforesaid from the North-eastern angle of said lot No. 65 to a line running parallel to and at a distance of 3 chains from the Southern side of the New North Road, thence by said line to the road which forms the Eastern boundary of allotment No. 64, thence Northerly by the centre of said road to the Southern boundary of allotment No. 62, thence Easterly by said boundary to Oakley’s stream, and by said stream to the Great North Road at the Western angle of allotment No. 30 of the Parish of Titirangi aforesaid, the place of commencement.
The Tauranga Highway District.
Amended Boundaries.
Bounded towards the North by the Harbour of Tauranga; towards the East by the harbour aforesaid and the Waimapu River, to the South-eastern angle of allotment No. 270, which said allotments, together with all the allotments hereinafter mentioned, are in the Parish of Te Papa; towards the South by the Southern boundary of said lot No. 270, thence crossing a road one hundred links wide to the Southern boundary of allotment No. 259; thence by said Southern boundary to the road which forms part of the Eastern boundary of allotment No. 258, thence by the centre of said road to the Southern boundary of allotment No. 258 aforesaid; thence by said last-named boundary, and the Southern boundary of allotment No. 256, to the road which forms the Eastern boundary of allotment No. 225; thence by the centre of said road to the Southern boundary of said lot No. 225, and by said last-named boundary and by the Southern boundary of allotment No. 221, to the road which forms its South-western boundary; thence by the centre of said road, and by the centre of the road which forms the Southern boundary of allotment No. 142, to the Southern boundary of allotment No. 138; thence by said last-named boundary to the road which forms the North-western boundary of allotment No. 138 aforesaid; thence by the centre of said road to the Southern boundary of allotment No. 185; thence by the Southern and Western boundaries of said allotment No. 135 to the Southern boundary of allotment No. 125; thence by part of said Southern boundary, and by the Southern and part of the Western boundaries of allotment No. 122, to the road which forms part of the Southern boundary of said last named lot; thence by the centre of said road to the Omanawa Creek; thence by said Creek to its confluence with the Wairoa River; and towards the West by the Wairoa River aforesaid to the Harbour of Tauranga, the place of commencement; excepting all Town Lands comprised within the foregoing boundaries.
The Waimapu Highway District.
Amended Boundaries.
Bounded towards the North by the Southern boundary of the Tauranga Highway District; towards the East by the Waimapu River; towards the South by the confiscation boundary line of the Tauranga Block, and towards the West by the Mangapa and Wairoa Rivers, to the Southern boundary of the Tauranga Highway District beforenamed, the place of commencement.
The Pirongia Highway District.
Amended Boundaries.
This District shall comprise all the lands included within the boundaries of the Pirongia Highway District, as the same are described in the Provincial Government Gazette No. 44, dated the 26th September, 1867, excepting so much thereof as is included within the boundaries of the Township of Alexandra West.
