AUCKLAND PROVINCIAL GOVERNMENT GAZETTE.

Company, Registered; 15 years lease of 7 acres, more or less, situate on the Golden Crown Spur, Waiotahi Creek, adjoining the Waitemata and Southern Enterprise Claims; held under Miners’ Rights. Application received in Wardens’ Office, Shortland, at 11.45 a.m., 18th March, 1870.

IT is hereby notified that Leases have been refused to the Applicants named in the Schedule hereunder, and that the land therein mentioned, in so far as not occupied under Miners’ Rights, is now open for occupation. Plans may be seen at the Engineer’s Office, Grahamstown.

EDWIN WEBB, 15 years’ lease of 14 acres, unoccupied mining land, pegged off under the Leasing Regulations, and bounded by the “Hauraki Gulf” Gold Mining Company’s ground, Hape Creek. Application notified in Gazette No. 39, dated 24th June, 1869, page 526.

FREDERICK THOMAS BAKER, for the Tararu Gold Mining Company, 15 years’ lease of 15 acres more or less, situated at Tararu, next to the “South Sea Castle” Lease; application notified in Gazette No. 54, dated 19th August, 1869, page 724.

ALEXANDER SAUNDERS, for the Pai Marire Gold Mining Company (Registered), 15 years’ lease of 2 acres, adjoining the “Eureka” and “Moanataiari” Gold Mining Company, known as the “Pai Marire” claim; application notified in Gazette No. 43, dated 9th July, 1869, page 569.

DUDLEY ROBERT EYRE, and ERNEST ARTHUR CHAPMAN, 15 years’ lease of 16 acres, being all that parcel of auriferous and quartz containing land, situate on the Karaka Creek, in the Thames Gold Field, District of Hauraki, Queen’s County, and being part of Lots, Kanaeranga, Nos. 1, 2, 3, 4, 5, 6, 7, 8, 9, 10, the Gold Fields, and part of the Karaka Block. Bounded towards the North and West by ground applied for as the “Proof Positive Extension” Gold Mining Company; on the South by the sea beach at the mouth of the Karaka Creek; and on the East by Mary-street, Shortland. Application notified in Gazette No. 60, dated 1st September, 1869, page 895.

MICHAEL COLL, DENIS BUCKLEY, and others, 15 years’ lease of 10 acres, situated at Puriri, on the dividing range adjoining the “Dawn of Hope,” “Royal Alfred,” and “Nil Desperandum” claims; application notified in Gazette No. 64, dated 10th September, 1869, page 1023.

WILLIAM HIBBS LONG and party, 15 years’ lease of about 12 acres, bounded on the North by the “Golden Crown” Gold Mining Company, and on the East by the “Golden Crown” Gold Mining Company, on the South by the “Carrier” Gold Mining Company, on the westward by the “Waitemata,” “Alliance,” and “Kohi-... Gold Mining Companies’ Leases; known as the “Challenger” Gold Mining Company’s claim, Puriri District; application notified in Gazette No. 86, dated 8th November, 1869, page 1516.

WILLIAM FINNIMORE, for the Manchester Gold Mining Company, 15 years’ lease of 16 acres, situated on a spur running down to the sea beach, bounded by the “London and Liverpool” lease, and unoccupied ground near the Waionui, Waikawhau block; application notified in Gazette No. 75, dated 4th October, 1869, page 1265.

WILLIAM FINNIMORE, for the Birmingham Gold Mining Company, 15 years’ lease of 16 acres, situated on a spur running down to the sea beach, bounded by the “Manchester” lease, and by unoccupied ground, near the Waionui, Waikawhau block; application notified in Gazette No. 75, dated 4th October, 1869, page 1263.

WILLIAM FINNIMORE, for the London and Liverpool Gold Mining Company, 15 years’ lease of 16 acres, situate on the Waikawhau block between Tararu and Tapu, on a spur running down to the sea beach, bounded by the sea beach and unoccupied ground near the Waionui Creek; application notified in Gazette No. 79, dated 16th October, 1869, page 1356.

WILLIAM FINNIMORE, for the Bath and Bristol Gold Mining Company, 15 years’ lease of 16 acres, situated on a spur running down to the sea beach, bounded by the “Birmingham” lease, and by unoccupied ground near the Waionui, on the Waikawhau block; application notified in Gazette No. 75, dated 4th October, 1869, page 1264.

PETER JOSEPH DALTON, for the Silver Cloud Gold Mining Company, 15 years’ lease of 7 acres more or less, bounded by “Struck Again,” “Golden Eagle,” “Royal Charter,” “Star of Fermanagh,” “Merry England,” “Great United” Gold Mining Company, “Earl of Erin.” Application notified in Gazette No. 62, dated 6th September, 1869, page 960.
