THE undersigned, JAMES SKENE, hereby make application to register the “Montrose Gold Mining Company (Registered),” under the provisions of “The Mining Companies’ Limited Liability Act, 1865” and “The Mining Companies Amendment Act, 1869,” and I do solemnly and sincerely declare that the following statement is, to the best of my belief and knowledge, true in every particular, namely:—

  1. That the name and style of the Company is the “Montrose Gold Mining Company (Registered).”

  2. That the place of operations is at the Wiseman’s Gully, at the Thames Gold Fields, in the Province of Auckland, in the Colony of New Zealand.

  3. That the nominal capital of the Company is Sixteen thousand Pounds, in sixteen thousand shares of One Pound each.

  4. That the amount paid up in cash is Nil; and in paid up shares is Ten thousand Pounds.

  5. That the name of the Manager is James Skene.

  6. That the Office of the Company is in Owen street, Grahamstown.

  7. That the names and several residences of the shareholders, and the number of shares held by each at this date, are as follow:—

THE undersigned, JOHN STYAK, hereby make application to register the “Hand-in-Hand No. 2 Gold Mining Company (Registered),” under the provisions of “The Mining Companies Limited Liability Act, 1865” and “The Mining Companies Amendment Act, 1869,” and I do solemnly and sincerely declare that the following statement is, to the best of my belief and knowledge, true in every particular, namely:—

  1. That the name and style of the Company is the “Hand-in-Hand No. 2 Gold Mining Company (Registered).”

  2. That the place of operations is at the Waiotahi Creek, Karaka Block, at the Thames Gold Field, in the Province of Auckland, in the Colony of New Zealand.

  3. That the nominal capital of the Company is Twenty-seven thousand three hundred and sixty Pounds, in Five thousand four hundred and sixty shares of Five Pounds each.

  4. That the amount paid up is Twenty-one thousand eight hundred and forty Pounds in partly paid up scrip; amount of cash paid up is Nil.

  5. That the name of the Manager is John Styak.

  6. That the Office of the Company is in Davy-street corner of Albert-street, Grahamstown.

  7. That the names and several residences of the shareholders, and the number of shares held by each at this date, are as follow:—

  1. That the name and style of the Company is the “British Empire Gold Mining Company (Registered).”
