forms the western boundary of Allotment No. 352 aforesaid, and the western boundary of Allotments Nos. 334, 335, 336, 337, 338, 339, 340, 341, 342, 343, 344, 345, 346, 337, 348, 349, and 351 of the said Parish to the north-eastern angle of Allotment No. 185 of the Parish aforesaid, thence by the centre of the Road which forms the south-western boundary of Allotments Nos. 300, 299, 298, and part of the south-western boundary of Allotment No. 297 continuing the south-western boundary of said Lot 297 to the margin of Lake Nga Roto, thence traversing the north-eastern margin of the said Lake to the south-western angle of Allotment No. 54 of the Parish of Mangapiko, thence by the southern boundary of said Lot No. 54, and the southern boundaries of Allotments Nos. 53 and 52 to the south-eastern angle of Allotment No. 52, aforesaid, thence by part of the western boundary of Allotments Nos. 51 and 50, and part of the northern boundary of lot 50 aforesaid and the northern boundary of lot 55, thence by the western, south western, and southern boundaries of said lot 55, and by part of the western boundary of Allotment No. 49, and the western boundary of lot No. 48, the northern, western, and southern boundaries of lot 47, the southern boundary of lot 46, part of the western boundary of 45, part of the northern boundary of lot 40 and the eastern boundary of said lot 40 to the south-western angle of lot 48, thence by the centre of the road, which forms part of the northern boundary of lot 56, the western boundary of lot 56 aforesaid, and the western boundaries of lots Nos. 58, 59, 61, 65, 66, 67, and 321 to the south-western angle of Allotment No. 321 aforesaid, thence following the south-western boundaries of lots 236, and 234 to the road which forms the north-western boundary of Allotment 144, and by the centre of the said road to the south-western angle of said lot 145, all of the said Parish, thence by the line which forms part of the northern boundary of Allotment No. 322 of the Parish aforesaid, to the Ruapaha Creek, thence by the Ruapaha Creek to its confluence with the Puniu River. On the south by the Puniu River aforesaid to its confluence with the Waipa River, and on the west by the Waipa River aforesaid to the point of commencement.

IN pursuance of the powers vested in the Superintendent by the third clause of “The Highway Act, 1867,” I do hereby notify for general information that I have altered and amended the boundaries of the KAUAE RANGA District under the said Act, as hereafter set forth.

Former boundaries defined in Gazette No. 43, 23rd August, 1868, folio 386.
AMENDED BOUNDARIES.
Bounded towards the north-west by the Karaka Creek, from the Hauraki Gulf to the north-eastern boundary of Shortland Township Reserve; towards the north-east by the north-eastern boundary of Shortland Township Reserve aforesaid, from the Karaka Creek to the Kakaramita Stream; towards the south-east by the Kakaramita Stream aforesaid, to its confluence with the Kauaeranga River; towards the south by the Kauaeranga River aforesaid to the Hauraki Gulf; and towards the south-west by the Hauraki Gulf aforesaid, to the mouth of the Karaka Creek, the place of commencement.
PUBLIC NOTIFICATION.

IN pursuance of the power in the Superintendent vested by the fourth clause of “The Highways Act, 1867,” I do hereby bring the said Act into operation within the District of KAUAE RANGA, and appoint the First Meeting of the Electors to take place at the Court House, Shortland, on Wednesday, the ninth day of June instant, at five o’clock in the afternoon.
Given under my hand, at Auckland, this third day of June, One thousand eight hundred and sixty-nine.
