THE DEVONPORT EDUCATIONAL DISTRICT.

And I do hereby appoint a Meeting of the resident occupiers of land and householders to take place at the Devonport Public Hall, in the said district, on Saturday, the 12th day of June instant, at seven o’clock in the afternoon, to appoint a Chairman, elect a School Committee, and for the other purposes set forth in the fourteenth section of the said Act.

PUBLIC NOTIFICATION.

By EVERY MACLEAN, Esquire, Deputy-Superintendent of the Province of Auckland.

BY virtue of the powers in the Superintendent vested by the fourteenth section of “The Common Schools Act, 1869,” I do hereby notify that that portion of the Province of Auckland, comprised within the boundaries hereunder described, shall be an Educational District under the said Act, and that such District shall be known by the name of

THE WHAU EDUCATIONAL DISTRICT

Bounded towards the north by high-water mark of the Waitemata Harbour and Oakley’s Creek, from the Whau Creek to the Great North Road, thence by the Great North Road to the north-eastern angle of Allotment No. 30 of the Parish of Titirangi, on the north-east by the road which forms the north-eastern boundary of Allotment No. 80 aforesaid, and Allotments Nos. 31, 32, and 33, and the northern boundary of Allotments Nos. 59, 56, 99, 98, 97, 96, and 95 to the eastern angle of Allotment No. 50, all of the said parish. On the east by the road which forms part of the south-eastern boundary of said lot No. 50, thence by said road to the north-eastern angle of Allotment No. 51 of Parish aforesaid, thence by the north-eastern and south-eastern boundaries of Allotment No. 51 aforesaid to the Road which forms the north-eastern boundary of Allotment No. 94 of the Parish aforesaid, and by the said Road to the northern angle of Allotment No. 71, thence following the north-western boundary of Allotment No. 71 aforesaid to the line which forms part of the south-western boundary of Allotment No. 67 aforesaid, and by said line to the road which forms the eastern boundaries of Allotments Nos. 78, and 77, and by that Road and by the eastern boundary of Allotment No. 75, all of said Parish, to High-water mark of the Manukau Harbour, thence on the south-east following High-water mark of said Harbour to the eastern angle of Porter’s Claim, thence by the eastern and north-eastern and north-western boundaries of Porter’s Claim of the Parish of Waikomiti, to the road which forms the north-eastern boundaries of Allotments Nos. 129, 128, 127, 126, 124, and 123, of the Parish of Waikomiti aforesaid, and by said road to the south-eastern angle of Allotment No. 238 of said parish; on the west following the road which forms the eastern boundary of Allotment No. 238 aforesaid, and part of the eastern boundary of Allotment No. 239 to high-water mark of the Whau River aforesaid, and by an inlet of the said river, and on the south west by high-water mark of the Whau River aforesaid to the point of commencement.

And I do hereby appoint a Meeting of the resident occupiers of land and householders to take place at the Whau Hall, on Thursday, the tenth day of June, instant, at seven o’clock in the afternoon, to appoint a Chairman, elect a School Committee, and for the other purposes set forth in the fourteenth section of the said Act.

PUBLIC NOTIFICATION.

By EVERY MACLEAN, Esquire, Deputy-Superintendent of the Province of Auckland.

IN pursuance of the powers vested in the Superintendent by the third clause of “The Highways Act, 1867,” I do hereby notify for general information that I have altered and amended the boundaries of the MANGAPIKO District under the said Act, as hereinafter set forth.

Former boundaries defined in Gazette No. 44, 26th September, 1867, folio 416.

AMENDED BOUNDARIES.

Bounded towards the north by the centre of the Road which forms the southern boundary of Allotments Nos. 204, 200, 199, 196, and 195 of the Parish of Tuhikaramea to the south-western angle of Allotment No. 210, of the said Parish, thence by the southern boundary of said Lot 210, and by the northern boundary of Lot 314 of the said Parish produced in a straight line to the Parish boundary of Te Rapa. On the east by part of the western boundary of the Parish of Te Rapa aforesaid to the north-western angle of Allotment No. 352 of the Parish of Nga Roto, thence by the line which
