THE NEW ZEALAND GAZETTE

ways Act, 1867, I do hereby notify that
all that portion of the Province of Auckland, hereunder described,
shall be a
District under the said Act, and that such
District shall be known by the name thereto
prefixed, that is to say:—
THE PAPARATA DISTRICT.
Bounded on the North-East by the North-
Eastern boundaries of allotments Nos. 4
and 8 of the Parish of Otau, thence by a
right line from the Easternmost angle of the
last named lot to the North-Eastern angle
of allotment No. 10 of the same Parish,
thence by the North-Eastern boundary of
allotment No. 10 aforesaid, and by a right
line, thence to the North-Eastern angle of
allotment No. 11, thence by the North-
Eastern boundary of said lot No. 11, and by
a straight line running in a South-Easterly
direction from its South-Eastern angle to
the Maungatawhiri Creek; on the South-
East by the Maungatawhiri Creek aforesaid
to the line which forms the Eastern boun-
dary of allotment No. 1 of the Parish of
Otau, thence by said Eastern boundary,
and by the centre of the road which forms
the South-Eastern boundary of said lot No.
1 of the Parish of Otau to the North-
most angle of allotment No. 1 of the Parish
of Koheroa, thence by the road aforesaid,
being the road which bounds on the North-
West allotments Nos. 2, 6, 7, 8, and 9, all
of the Parish of Koheroa, and by the centre
of the same road continued to the Maunga-
tawhiri Creek, and thence by said creek to
the Mangamata Lake; on the South-West by
the Western margin of the Mangamata
Lake aforesaid, and by the Porouroraa
stream to the road which forms the North-
Western boundary of allotment No. 106 of
the Parish of Maungatawhiri, thence by the
centre of the road aforesaid to its junction
with the road which forms the North-Eastern
boundary of allotment No. 7 of last named
Parish, and by the centre of said road to
the North-Eastern boundary of allotment
No. 102, also of the Parish before-named,
thence by the North-Eastern and Northern
boundaries of said lot No. 102 to the road
which forms the South-Western boundary of
allotment No. 107 of said Parish of Maun-
gatawhiri, thence by the centre of the road
last described to the Eastern boundary of
allotment No. 122 of the Parish of Opaheke,
and by said Eastern boundary and the
centre of the road which forms its Northern
boundary to the road which forms the
Eastern boundary of allotment No. 99, thence
by the centre of said road, and by the
centre of the road which forms the
Eastern boundary of allotment No. 104,
the Eastern and Northern boundaries of
allotment No. 98, and the North-Eastern
boundaries of allotments Nos. 121 and 119
of the Parish of Opaheke aforesaid to the
northernmost angle of said allotment No.
119 last named, and by a right line thence
bearing due West to the Mangawheau River;
and on the North-West by the Mangawheau
River aforesaid, and the North-Western
boundary of allotment No. 4 of the Parish
of Otau to its Northernmost angle the point
of commencement.

Auckland.
IN pursuance of the power in me vested
by the fourth clause of “The High
ways Act, 1867,” I do hereby bring the
said Act into operation in the District of
PAPARATA, and appoint the First Meeting
of the Electors to take place at the Nor-
thumberland Hotel, Rama Rama, on Thurs-
day, the twenty-fourth day of December
instant, at eleven o’clock in the forenoon.

this fifth day of December,
one thousand eight hundred
and sixty-eight.

Superintendent of the Province of
Auckland.
IN pursuance of the power in me vested
by the fourth clause of “The High
ways Act, 1867,” I do hereby bring the said Act
into operation within the District of RUA-
RANGI, and appoint the First Meeting of
the Electors to take place at the residence of Mr.
Thomas Hunter, Ruarangi, on Thursday,
the fourteenth day of January, 1869, at
eleven o’clock in the forenoon.
Given under my hand at Auckland,
this eleventh day of December,
one thousand eight hundred and sixty-eight.
