SUB-DISTRICT No. 17.

Bounded towards the north by the southern boundary of Sub-district No. 16, hereinbefore defined; towards the east by the Waipa River to Pukerau; on the south by a right line from Pukerau aforesaid to the source of the Marakopa river, and thence by said river to the sea; and on the west by the sea and Kawhia harbour to the boundary herein first mentioned.

SUB-DISTRICT No. 18.

Bounded on the north by the southern boundary of Sub-district No. 17 hereinbefore described; on the east by part of the eastern boundary of Grey’s County; on the south-east and south by the Mokau river; and on the west by the sea from Mokau river aforesaid to the boundary herein first mentioned.

SUB-DISTRICT No. 19.

This Sub-district shall comprise all the lands included within the boundaries of the Highway District of Newcastle, the limits of which are defined in Provincial Gazette No. 44, 26th Sept., 1867.

SUB-DISTRICT No. 20.

This Sub-district shall comprise all the lands included within the boundaries of the Whata Whata and Karamu Highway Districts, the limits of which are defined in Provincial Gazette No. 44, 26th Sept., 1867.

SUB-DISTRICT No. 21.

This Sub-district shall comprise all the lands included within the boundaries of the Hamilton Highway District, the limits of which are defined in Provincial Gazette No. 44, 26th Sept., 1867.

SUB-DISTRICT No. 22.

This Sub-district shall comprise all the lands included within the boundaries of the Pirongia Highway District, the limits of which are defined in Provincial Gazette No. 44, 26th Sept., 1867.

SUB-DISTRICT No. 23.

This Sub-district shall comprise all the lands included within the boundaries of the Mangapiko Highway District, the limits of which are defined in Provincial Gazette No. 44, 26th Sept., 1867.

SUB-DISTRICT No. 24.

This Sub-district shall comprise all the lands included within the boundaries of the Rangiaohia Highway District, the limits of which are defined in Provincial Gazette No. 44, 26th Sept., 1868.

SUB-DISTRICT No. 25.

This Sub-district shall comprise all the lands included within the boundaries of the Pukekura Highway District, the limits of which are defined in Provincial Gazette No. 44, 26th Sept., 1867.

SUB-DISTRICT No. 26.

Bounded towards the north by the configuration boundary from Pukekura to Orakau, thence to the Puniu river and by said river to the river Waipa; towards the east by a right line from the mouth of the river Poaru to the summit of Mount Rangitoto, thence by another right line to the source of the Mokau river, and by said river to the eastern boundary of Grey’s County; and on the west by the County boundary aforesaid, and the Waipa river, to the Puniu River aforesaid, place of commencement.

SUB-DISTRICT No. 27.

Bounded towards the north by the southern boundary of Sub-district No. 26, hereinbefore described; towards the east by part of the western boundary of the Electoral District of Franklin; on the south by the 39th parallel of south latitude; and on the west by the line which forms the dividing boundary between the Provinces of Auckland and Taranaki.

PUBLIC NOTIFICATION.

By EVERY MACLEAN, Esquire,
Deputy Superintendent of the Province of Auckland.

WHEREAS by the first section of “The Sick and Destitute Act, 1868,” it is enacted that the Electoral Districts of the Province of Auckland shall be and are thereby constituted Districts for the purposes of the said Act, provided that the Superintendent by and with the advice of his Executive Council, may from time to time subdivide such Districts, in such manner as he shall think fit:

Now, therefore, I, Every Maclean, Deputy of the Superintendent of the Province of Auckland aforesaid, in pursuance of the powers and authority enabling me in that behalf, do hereby subdivide, into the seven Sub-Districts hereafter described, the whole of the Electoral District of

THE BAY OF ISLANDS.

Bounded on the north by the Electoral District of Mongonui; on the south by the Electoral District of Marsden; and on the east and west by the sea, including adjacent islands.

Given under my hand at Auckland, this third day of August, one thousand eight hundred and sixty-eight.
