Sub-District No. 3.

Bounded on the north-east by the sea coast from the southern boundary of the electoral District of Marsdcn to Tawaranui point; on the south by the sea from Tawaranui point aforesaid to the Matakana harbour; on the south-west by the Matakana harbour aforesaid and the north-eastern boundary of the Upper Mahurangi Highway District to the Dome; and on the north-west by the southern boundary of the Electoral District of Marsdcn.

Sub-District No. 4.

Bounded on the north-east by the Kaipara river from Papanui to the north-western boundary of the Muriwai Highway District; on the south-east by the north-western boundary of the Muriwai Highway District aforesaid; on the south-west by the sea; and on the north-west by the waters of the Kaipara entrance to Papanui, the point of commencement.

Sub-District No. 5.

Bounded on the north-east by the western boundaries of the Weiti and North Shore Highway Districts; on the south-east by Brigham’s creek, the northern boundary of allotment No. 1, parish of Waipareira, the Kumeu creek, and the northern boundary of the Waitakerei Highway District; on the south-west by the sea from the Wairere stream to the north-western boundary of the Muriwai Highway District; and on the north-west by the north-western boundary of the Highway District last mentioned and the Kaipara and Kaukapakapa rivers to the place of commencement.

Sub-District No. 6.

Bounded on the north by the southern boundary of the Ahuroa block; on the east by the Pukapuka river, the Matakana harbour and the sea to the Okura river; on the south by the Okura river aforesaid and the southern boundary of the Weiti Highway District; and on the west by the western boundaries of the Weiti and Puhoi Highway Districts to the place of commencement.

Sub-District No. 7.

Bounded on the east by the Waitemata harbour from Brigham’s creek to the Whau river; towards the south-east by the north-west boundary of the Waikomiti Highway District and the northern boundary of the Waitakerei South Highway District; on the south-west by the sea to the Wairere stream; and on the north-west by the south-eastern boundary of the Muriwai Highway District and the northern boundary of Allotment No. 1 of the parish of Waipareira, to Brigham’s creek, the place of commencement.

Sub-District No. 8.

Comprising all those lands included within the boundaries of the North Shore, Lake, and Flagstaff Highway Districts.

Sub-District No. 9.

Bounded on the north-east by part of the eastern boundary of the electoral District of the Northern Division; on the south-east by the Manukau harbour; on the south by the sea to Taitomo; and on the north-west by the northern boundary of the Waitakerei South Highway District, and by the north-western boundary of the Waikomiti Highway District to the eastern boundary of the electoral District of the Northern Division aforesaid, the place of commencement.

Sub-District No. 10.

This sub-district shall comprise the Islands of Rangitoto, Motutapu, Tiritirimatangi, Kawau, and adjacent isles.

Sub-District No. 11.

This sub-district shall comprise the Islands of the Great and Little Barrier.

WHEREAS by the first section of “The Sick and Destitute Act, 1868,” it is enacted that the Electoral Districts of the Province of Auckland shall be and are thereby constituted Districts for the purposes of the said Act, provided that the Superintendent, by and with the advice of his Executive Council, may from time to time subdivide such Districts, in such manner as he shall think fit:

Now, therefore, I, Every Maclean, Deputy of the Superintendent of the Province of Auckland aforesaid, in pursuance of the powers and authority enabling me in that behalf, do hereby subdivide into the seventeen Sub-Districts hereafter described, for the purposes of the aforesaid Act, the whole of the Electoral District of Marsden.

Bounded on the north by a line commencing at Mongonui Bluff on the West Coast and running thence along the summit of the Mangakahia range to Tutamoi Mountain, thence by a right line to the North Head of Tutukaka Harbour; on the east by the Coast line to the southern point of Hawere Island, on the south by a right line to the summit of the Dome thence by a right line to the confluence of the Hoteo and Kaipara rivers thence by the Hoteo river to high water mark in Kaipara Harbour thence by high-water mark to the Tapora Flats thence by a right line to the North Head of the Kaipara.
