PUBLIC NOTIFICATION.

By Every Maclean, Esquire,
Deputy Superintendent of the Province of Auckland.

WHEREAS by the first section of "The Sick and Destitute Act, 1868," it is enacted that the Electoral Districts of the Province of Auckland shall be and are thereby constituted Districts for the purposes of the said Act, provided that the Superintendent, by and with the advice of his Executive Council, may from time to time subdivide such Districts in such manner as he shall think fit:

Now, therefore, I, Every Maclean, Deputy Superintendent of the Province of Auckland aforesaid, in pursuance of the powers and authority enabling me in that behalf, I do hereby subdivide, into the eleven Sub-Districts hereafter described, for the purposes of the aforesaid Act, the whole of the Electoral District of

The Northern Division.

Bounded on the north by the Marsden District, and by the Kaipara harbour; on the west by the sea; on the south by the Manukan harbour; on the east by the western boundary of the Whau township to the Whau creek, thence by the Whau creek to Waitemata harbour; and thence by the coast line to Cape Rodney, including the islands of Rangitoto, Motutapu, Great and Little Barrier, Tiritirimatangi, Kawau, and adjacent isles.

Given under my hand, at Auckland, this thirteenth day of July, in the year of our Lord one thousand eight hundred and sixty-eight.

Sub-District No. 1.

Bounded on the north by the Hotea river; on the east by the Kaitoto river and the western boundaries of the Upper Mahurangi, Lower Mahurangi, Puhoi, and Weiti Highway Districts; on the south by the Kaukapakapa river and on the west by high-water mark of Kaipara harbour.

Sub-District No. 2.

Bounded on the north by the southern boundary of the electoral District of Marsden from the confluence of the Hotea and Kaitoto rivers to the Dome; on the north-east by the south-western boundary of the Matakana Highway District; on the south-east by the Matakana harbour and the sea to the north head of the Mahurangi harbour; on the south by the Mahurangi harbour aforesaid, the Pukapuka river, and the northern boundaries of the Puhoi and Makarau blocks; and on the west by the western boundaries
