MATAKANA District

To the

MATAKANA WEST District.

Amended Boundaries.

Bounded on the north by the Omaha Highway District from the Tamahunga Mountain to the Wangateau Harbour; on the east by the harbour of Wangateau aforesaid, thence crossing said harbour to the north-west angle of allotment No. 35, and by the north-west boundary of said lot 35, and the north-west boundary of allotment No. 53 to the creek which forms the south-western boundaries of allotments Nos. 53, 41 and 15, all of the parish of Matakana; thence by said creek to the Matakana harbour, and by the said harbour to the northern boundary of the Upper Mahurangi Highway District; on the south by the northern boundary of the Highway District of Upper Mahurangi aforesaid to the Dome; and on the north-west by a line from thence to the Tamahunga Mountain aforesaid, exclusive of all Government towns and villages within the before-mentioned boundaries.

In virtue of the powers in me vested by the third section of “The Highways Act, 1867,” I do hereby notify that that portion of the Province of Auckland hereunder described, shall be a District under the said Act; and that such District shall be known by the name thereto prefixed, that is to say:—

The MATAKANA EAST District.

Bounded on the north by the sea from the south Head of the harbour of Big Omaha to Tawaranui Point; on the south-east by the sea from Tawaranui Point aforesaid to the north Head of Matakana harbour; on the south-west by the north-eastern shores of the Matakana harbour aforesaid; and the creek bounding allotments Nos. 15, 41 and 58 of the Parish of Matakana to the south-east angle of the last mentioned lot; on the north-west by the north-western boundaries of allot. No. 58 aforesaid and allot. 86 of same Parish to the waters of the Harbour of Big Omaha.
