PUBLIC NOTIFICATION.

Superintendent of the Province of Auckland.
In pursuance of the power in me vested by the fourth section of "The Highways Act, 1867," I do hereby bring the said Act into operation in the District of Omaha, and appoint the first meeting of the Electors to take place at the residence of Mr. Chas. Septimus Clarke, Little Omaha, on Wednesday, the eleventh day of December, proximo, at noon.
Given under my hand at Auckland, this twenty-fifth day of November, one thousand eight hundred and sixty-seven.

to be Assessor, Secretary, and Rate Collector for the District for the present year.

TENDERS will be received at this office until noon of Wednesday, the 11th day of December, prox., for furnishing the Provincial Government with the undermentioned supplies, in such quantities as may be required, during the six months commencing the 1st January, 1868:
RATIONS FOR DESTITUTE PERSONS.
Bread and Meat Ration.
Consisting of Bread, 1 ½ lb., Meat (free from bone), ½ pound, at per ration.
Grocery Ration.
Consisting of ½ oz. Tea, 2 oz. Sugar, 1lb. Bread at per ration.
Separate Tenders will be received for supplies delivered at Onehunga.
