boundaries of Lot 74, to Big Muddy Creek, thence by that creek to a line, being a production of the south-eastern boundaries of Lots 79 and 78, thence by the aforesaid line and the south and south-eastern boundaries of the surveyed portion of the Waikarekei block to the sea; and on the west by the sea.

10.—TURANGA DISTRICT.
Former boundaries detailed in Gazette No. 25, vol. XIV., folio 227, 1865.

Amended Boundaries.
Bounded on the north by the Mauganmaungaaroa and its tributaries, to the south-western angle of lot 34 of the parish of Maraetai; on the Waikopu creek, thence by the southern boundary of lot 34 aforesaid, and the southern boundaries of 46, to the north-western boundary of the parish of Wairoa; on the east by the north-western boundary of the Wairoa Highways District, which also forms the north-western boundary of the parish of Wairoa, to the west angle of lot 27 of said parish; on the south by part of the south-eastern boundaries of lot 190 of the parish of Pakuranga, the south-eastern and south-western boundaries of lot 65, the south-western boundaries of 63, and part of the south-eastern boundary of lot 64, all of said parish, to the north-eastern boundary of lot 96 of the parish of Manurewa, thence by the said boundary, and south-eastern and southern boundaries of said lot, and southern boundary of lot 95, to the eastern boundary of the Tamaki East Highways District; and on the west by the eastern boundary of the Tamaki East Highways District aforesaid, to the north-western angle of lot 235 of the Parish of Pakuranga, and thence by the north-western boundary of 235 aforesaid, to the Mauganmaungaroa.

11.—WAIRAU DISTRICT.
Former boundaries detailed in Gazette No. 33, vol. XV., folio 297, 1866.

Amended Boundaries.
Bounded on the north-east by the Waipu Highways District, from the south-western boundary of the Mareretu block to the north-east angle of the Wairau block; on the east by the eastern boundaries of Wright and Grahames’ claims; on the south by the southern boundary of Grahame’s claim aforesaid and the Otamatea river, to the southern boundary of the Maungaturoto block, thence by the aforesaid boundary to the eastern boundary of the Paparoa Highways District; and on the north-west by the Paparoa Highways District aforesaid, and the south-eastern boundary of the Mareretu block aforesaid, to the point of commencement.

12.—PAPAKURA DISTRICT.
Former boundaries detailed in Gazette No. 10, vol. X., folio 64, 1862.

Amended Boundaries.
Bounded on the north-east by the line which forms the south-western boundaries of allotments Nos. 190, 27, 40, 39, 37, 85, and 10, of the parish of Wairoa, from the Papakura river to Hewlin’s line; on the south-east by Hewlin’s line aforesaid to the north-eastern angle of lot 31 of the parish of Hunua, thence by the north-eastern and south-eastern boundaries of said lot 31 and the south-eastern boundaries of allotments Nos. 30, 29, 28, and 27, of the last-named parish to lot No. 3 of the parish of Opaheke, thence by the south-eastern boundaries of said lot, No. 3, and the south-eastern and south-western boundaries of lot No. 1, of said parish of Opaheke, to Hewlin’s line, and by the said line to the Manukau harbour; on the south-west by the waters of the Manukau harbour aforesaid to the south-eastern boundary of Clendon’s grant; and on the north-west by the south-eastern boundaries of Clendon’s grant, and allotment No. 96, of the parish of Manurewa, thence by the north-eastern boundary of lot No. 96 aforesaid to the western boundary of lot No. 57, of the parish of Papakura, thence by the western and northern boundaries of said lot, No. 57, and the north-east boundary of lot 37 of same parish, to the Papakura river, and by the said river to the point of commencement.

PUBLIC NOTIFICATION.

By DANIEL POLLEN, Esq., Deputy Superintendent of the Province of Auckland.

By virtue of the powers vested in the Superintendent by the third section of “The Highways Act, 1867,” I do hereby notify that the portion of the Province of Auckland comprised within the boundaries hereunder described shall be a District under the said Act, and that such District shall be known by the name hereto prefixed, that is to say—

MANAIA DISTRICT.

Bounded on the north by the Hauraki gulf; on the east by the Wairoa river to the south-western boundary of lot 58 of the parish of Wairoa; on the south by the boundary of lot 58 aforesaid, the southern boundary of a native reserve, the eastern and southern boundaries of lot 46 of the Parish of Maraetai, and the southern boundary of lot 84 of said parish to Waikopu creek, and on the west by Waikopu creek aforesaid, and the Maungamaungaroa to the Hauraki Gulf aforesaid.

Given under my hand at Auckland, this twenty-third day of September, one thousand eight hundred and sixty-seven.
