PUBLIC NOTIFICATION.

UNDER and in pursuance of the powers vested in the Superintendent, by virtue of “The Auckland Waste Lands Act, 1866,” I hereby notify for public information, that so much of the Tauhoa Block as has this day been set apart as Special Settlement Land, will be open for selection and sale at the Waste Lands Office, at Auckland, on and after the 3rd day of June next, as Special Settlement Land.
Applications to be made in writing at any time before the 3rd day of June, 1867.

PROCLAMATION.
By John Williamson, Esq., Superintendent of the Province of Auckland.
WHEREAS by the second section of the “Auckland Waste Land Act, 1866,” it was enacted that it shall be lawful for the Superintendent by proclamation to declare that a certain block of land therein described shall be set apart and reserved for certain Immigrants, not being fewer than fifty, above eighteen years of age, expected to arrive, or who shall have arrived, and desire to settle within the Province of Auckland.
Now, therefore, pursuant to the authority vested in me in that behalf, I, the Superintendent of the Province of Auckland, do hereby proclaim and declare that all that block of land, being a portion of the Tauhoa Block, bounded on the south-east by the Hotea River, on the south-west by the Kaipara River and the Piritaha Native Reserve to the mouth of the Hangahanga River, on the north-west by a line from the mouth of the Hangahanga River to the summit of Pariamahia, and on the north-east by a line from Pariamahia to Pukeko Creek on the Hotea River, estimated to contain about 9000 acres, as the same is delineated on the Plan in the Land Office, shall be reserved and set apart as provided for in the above recited Act as Special Settlement Land.
Given under my hand, at Auckland, in the said Province, this 4th day of May, one thousand eight hundred and sixty-seven.
