✨ Land Proclamation and Sale



PROCLAMATION.

By FREDERICK WHITAKER, Esq.,
Superintendent of the Province of Auckland.

WHEREAS by proclamation issued under the hand of the Superintendent, and dated the 18th day of May, 1864, it was proclaimed and declared that “All that parcel of land known as the Maungatete Block, County of Mongonui, estimated to contain 14,000 acres, shall be reserved and set apart for certain immigrants expected to arrive from the United Kingdom, and to be called the Mongonui Special Settlement.”

Now, therefore, pursuant to the authority vested in me in that behalf, I, the Superintendent of the Province of Auckland, do hereby revoke the said Proclamation except over that portion containing 1161 acres in lots Nos. 106, 107, 109, 113, 116, 117, 118, 119, 120, 121, 122, 123, 124, 125, 126, 127.

Given under my hand at Auckland this twenty-fourth day of March, in the year of our Lord One thousand eight hundred and sixty-six.

PUBLIC NOTIFICATION.

Superintendent of the Province of Auckland.

UNDER and in pursuance of the powers vested in the Superintendent in that behalf, I hereby notify for public information that all those pieces or parcels of land enumerated in the Schedule hereunder written will be offered for sale at Twelve o’clock, noon, at the Waste Lands Office at Auckland, on the 30th day of April, one thousand eight hundred and sixty-six as General Country Land.

Given under my hand at Auckland in the said Province, this twenty-fourth day of March, One thousand eight hundred and sixty-six.
