Parish of Mahurangi; thence by the South Western and South Eastern Boundaries of the said lot 111 to Hepburn’s Creek on the South, and Duck Creek and the Western Boundary of the Matakana Township on the East, including all roads traversing the lands within the before mentioned boundaries.

PUBLIC NOTIFICATION.
By ROBERT GRAHAM, Esquire, Superintendent of the Province of Auckland.
PURSUANT to the powers vested in me by the second clause of the "Highways Act, 1862," I do hereby declare that the lands comprised within the several boundaries hereunder described shall be a district under the said Act, and that such district shall be known by the name thereto prefixed, that is to say,—
THE LOWER MAHURANGI DISTRICT:—
All those lands lying within the Western boundary of the Matakana Township and Duck Creek, the South Eastern and South Western boundaries of lot 111, of the Parish of Mahurangi, to where the last named boundary intersects Hepburn’s Creek Road, the middle of the said Road to where it intersects lot No. 134, of the Parish of Mahurangi, the Northern boundaries of lots Nos. 134, 167, and 165, and the South Western boundary of lot No. 129, of the said Parish, and the Southern boundary of the Parish of Kourawhero on the North, the sea and the Mahurangi River on the East, the Southern boundaries of the Parishes of Mahurangi and Ahuroa, on the South, and the Western boundary of the Parish of Ahuroa aforesaid, on the West, including all roads traversing the lands within the before mentioned boundaries.

PUBLIC NOTIFICATION.
Additional Rules and Regulations for the management of Public Slaughter-houses and persons employed therein.
In virtue of the power in me vested in that behalf I do hereby make and promulgate the following additional Rules and Regulations for the management of Public Slaughter-houses and the Government of persons slaughtering cattle and otherwise employed thereat.

No person whatsoever shall be permitted to work in the Slaughter houses unless licensed to do so in manner hereinafter mentioned.

Licences to work in the Slaughter-houses shall be issued by the Provincial Treasurer on his being satisfied as to the character of the persons to be licensed and on payment of a fee of One Pound. Such licences shall be held to run for one year from 1st January but may be revoked by the Superintendent at any time and the license fee returned in the event of the person licensed being guilty of any breach of the Slaughter-house Regulations or of disobeying the orders of the Inspector or Sub-Inspector of Slaughter-houses.
