PUBLIC NOTIFICATION.

Auckland, 28th February, 1865.
I HEREBY notify for general information that, pursuant to the authority vested in the Superintendent by the “Provincial Government Act,” Session I, No. 7, I have appointed
Thomas Cheeseman, Esq.,
To be a Member of the Provincial Executive Council.

PUBLIC NOTIFICATION.
By Robert Graham, Esquire, Superintendent of the Province of Auckland.
PURSUANT to the powers vested in me by the second clause of the “Highways Act, 1862,” I do hereby declare that the lands comprised within the several boundaries hereunder described, shall be a district under the said Act, and that such district shall be known by the name thereto prefixed, that is to say,—
The Upper Mahurangi District.
All those lands lying within the Western Branch of the Matakana River to the North West angle of lot No. 110, of the Parish of Mahurangi, thence in a direct line to the summit of the Dome, and thence in a direct line to Paikaiuri on the North, thence by the road to the Hoteo River, the Hoteo River and the Western Boundary of the Kourarohere block on the West, thence by the Northern Boundary of the Ahuroa Parish, the Onehunga Stream, again by the Northern Boundary of the Parish of Ahuroa to the North West Angle of lot No. 165, of the Parish of Mahurangi, thence by the Northern Boundaries of lots Nos. 165, 167, and 134 of the Parish of Mahurangi to the middle of the road which intersects the last named lot thence by the middle of the said road to the South Western Boundary of lot No. 111 of the

IN virtue of the powers vested in me by the “Highways Act, 1862,” I do hereby declare that the Districts of Upper and Lower Mahurangi, (as published in Gazette No. 35 of 24th December 1864, have ceased to be Districts under the provisions of the said Act.
