Pakuranga, under the Highways Act, 1862, are to send in their claims to Every Maclean, Esq., Justice of the Peace, on or before the 27th day of February, instant, and that such claims must be in the form following:—
Form of Claim.
To Every Maclean, Esq., J.P. (the person appointed by the Superintendent to receive claims).
I hereby give notice that I claim to have my name enrolled as a voter for the election of Waywardens for the District of Pakuranga (as Lowndes’s or Mortgagee, in possession as the case may be) and that the particulars of my abode and qualification are as follows:—
Number of Allotments, and Sections and Name of Occupying Tenant (if any).
Number and situation of Section of Parish or portion of Block (or part of as the case may be).
Nature of Qualification.
Freeholder (for freehold), Leaseholder (for leasehold), Allotment for both, or mortgagee, in possession, as the case may be.
Name of Abode.
... Christian Name and Surname of Claimant, at full length.

PUBLIC NOTIFICATION.

Superintendent of the Province of Auckland.
Pursuant to the powers vested in me by the second clause of the “Highways Act, 1862,” I do hereby declare that the lands comprised within the several boundaries hereunder described, shall be a district under the said Act, and that such district shall be known by the name thereto prefixed, that is to say—
The District of Remuera,
All those lands, bounded on the north by Orakei Creek and Hobson’s Bay to the Waitemata Harbour; including all roads traversing the lands within the before mentioned boundaries.
On the north side of the road from the mouth of the Slaughter House Creek to the Grammar School Road; on the west by the Epsom Road to the Great South Road; on the south by the Great South Road to the junction of roads at the Harp of Erin Inn, thence by a direct line to the S.W. angle of lot No. 25 of section No. 12, and by the southern boundaries of lots 25 and 34 of said section; and on the east by the eastern boundary of lot No. 34 of section No. 12, and by the south side of the Tamaki Road to the eastern angle of section No. 16, and thence by the eastern side of section No. 16 to the Orakei Creek; including all roads traversing the lands within the before mentioned boundaries.
