PUBLIC NOTIFICATION.

Superintendent of the Province of Auckland.

PURSUANT to the powers vested in me by the second clause of the Highways Act, 1862, I do hereby declare that the lands comprised within the several boundaries hereunder described, shall be a district under the said Act, and that such district shall be known by the name thereto prefixed, that is to say,—

THE DISTRICT OF PAKURANGA,

all those lands, bounded on the north by the Tamaki River and the Waiheki Channel from the Panmure Ferry to Mellan’s Bay, on the east by the road from Mellan’s Bay which passes through section 10, and east of sections Nos. 1 and 2, of small lots near Howick, and lots 73 and 79 of the Parish of Pakuranga, on the south by the road which forms the northern boundary of lot No. 27 of the said Parish, from the south east corner of lot 79 aforesaid, to King’s Creek, and thence by that Creek and the Tamaki River to the Panmure Ferry; including all roads traversing the lands within the before mentioned boundaries.

The District of One Tree Hill.

All those lands, bounded on the South by the Manukau Harbour; on the North East by the South side of the great South Road from Hamlin’s Creek to the Junction Hotel; on the North by the Northern boundary of lot No. 23A of suburban section No. 6; on the West by the Western boundaries of lots Nos. 23A, 23B, 23C and 24 of Suburban section No. 6; by the Western boundary of Lots Nos. 19, 20, 21, 22, 23, 24, 66, 65, 64, 63, 62, 61, 60, 59, 58, 57, 56, 55, 54 and 53 of Suburban section No. 10, by the South side of the Mount Albert and Onehunga road to the N. W. Corner of lot No. 5 of Suburban section No. 13; by the West side of the road bounding to the Westward, lots Nos. 5, 4 and 8, section No. 13, and on the South West by the S. W. boundary of lot No. 8 of Suburban section No. 13, from the last above mentioned road to the Manukau Harbour. Excepting the village of Onehunga District, and including all roads traversing the lands within the before mentioned boundaries.

I HEREBY notify for general information that a Memorial signed by a majority in number of all persons having such interest in the District of Pakuranga, as is required by the “Highways Act, 1862,” praying that the operation of the said Act may be extended to the said District, has been received by me; And I do hereby declare that the “Highways Act, 1862,” shall henceforth be in full operation within the said District of Pakuranga.
